Have any headcanons to share about Kyle? Also, your feelings on Bow x Kyle?
Hmm, I can think of a few:
I've read a fanfic once where Kyle found a diary (which belonged to someone else in the Horde, but they don't know what happened to the original owner). I like to think Kyle confides in a diary to talk about his days and his private thoughts, especially the "negative" ones.
I imagine Kyle being interested in tech like Bow. He seemed to know how to repair the vehicle he, Lonnie and Rogelio got stuck in during that storm (s4). Kyle might secretly take some broken devices or pieces of robots to dismantle them. Idk if he would be the kind to build robots like Entrapta, though. But I think he likes playing with machines when he's stressed or after he's been kicked out of training.
This one is very personal, but I once imagined Kyle and Adora being close friends when they were younger. However, with Shadow Weaver erasing Adora's memories, and Catra being extremely possessive of Adora, Kyle realizes Adora doesn't seem to recognize him, and ends up not treating him well because of Lonnie and the other cadets. This is really just me liking angst + the potential of Adora and Kyle being friends or siblings in some way.
As for Bowkyle, I am the captain of Bowkyle, lmao. Just kidding. But these two are one of my favorite pairings in the show. That is, I like what it could've been if the writers weren't so mean to Kyle. If anything, I'm sure those boys would be besties. Bow seemed to feel out of place as he's "the only one who's not a princess" (at the very least Bow isn't harshly bullied by his peers, even if some characters might mock his passion for arrows though), while Kyle must feel like he doesn't belong in the Horde. They both really value friendships and sadly they're taken advantage of. Not to mention that, ironically, they both finally snap in s4, but their character arcs don't really go anywhere. Bow's case is more infuriating considering he's the black best friend character and he has little to no arc in the series overall. Kyle's arc also made me sad because he had to nearly kill himself for Lonnie and Rogelio to actually give a shit about him.
Overall, I think Kyle would've been a great addition to the Rebellion. He and Adora could rely on each other when it comes to Horde trauma (plus Kyle could tell Adora about the memories she lost of their friendship if you count my last headcanon), besides Kyle possibly telling the princesses about what the Horde might be planning (I will never forget he risked his life to tell Bow where Glimmer was, and Kyle was still thrown away). He and Bow could be friends and be totally annoying (affectionate) around each other. Like Bow would show Kyle his arrows and they would talk about tech for hours and hours. I think Kyle deserved better friends. If Scorpia did, why not him, too?

Letters of love that touches one’s soul
Junior year of Highschool-
Krithika was walking home from a bad day.
How dare Delilah accuse her for 'stealing her boyfriend'? Like, Krithika didn't even know who her boyfriend was!
"Girly!" Called someone who could only be one person. "Hey, Krithika!"
She turned, annoyed.
"What, Shah?" She spoke, using his last name to intimidate him. He took a step back in fear, regained his composure and waved a folded piece of paper.
"I'll just keep this here" Suyodhana Shah hurried off.
Krithika could hear the elderly on the street talking about how energetic and bright he was for a 19 year old. And the younger about how handsome he was, with his heterochromia. Which was all true of course. Even if she was in a bad mood, she couldn't deny that.
She opened the letter in curiosity.
And the saga of love letters starts here.
Dear Krithika,
When you open this, I've probably run off already. Just the coward I am.
Isn't it crazy how much you changed me? I went from a tech nerd to nerd on the subject of you.
I'm really bad at constructing angles, and even though you look beautiful from every angle, I think the angle I see you from is the best.
I don't play with fire, but when we're together, I feel the sparks flying.
I don't like science but when I'm with you, I can see the chemistry.
I'm learning important dates in history. Wanna be one of them?
Ps. Don't kill me at school tomorrow.
Love,
Suyodhana
Senior year of high school-
He glanced down at the note Krithika had given him, his heart pounding.
Dear Suyodhana,
Remember your letter last year? I realized I never actually replied. And, honestly,
It was incredibly cringey. You are super cheesy. But I would not mind having you on my pizza.
I was having a super bad day when you gave me that. It felt like you wiped off the rain cloud above my head and replaced it with sunshine.
I'm not a fortune teller, but I can see my future with you.
Love,
Krithika.
A couple years later-
He had a stupid grin on his face as he handed Krithika a letter.
Dear Krithika,
Before I had felt the sparks.
Now I feel a fire burning in my heart.
My life without you,
Is the sky without blue,
Roses are red,
You like the white ones instead,
Violets are blue,
And my love for you is always true,
But still,
It grew.
Krithika Shah,
Will you marry me?
Krithika looked up in tears.
"Yes. I would love to"
Dear Suyodhana,
It's been awhile since we wrote these letters.
I don't know if you'll ever see this.
I want you to know that I still love you. Sleeper or not.
Arundhati. You named our child Arundhati, after the morning star. And I must say, it was the most fitting. You really don't get anything wrong, do you?
She asked where you were today. When are you coming back?
I love you always. Aru loves you always. And I know you love us too.
From,
Krithika.
But the reply didn't come. And finally, 12 years later, Krithika understood it would never come.
Dear Suyodhana,
What were you thinking in those last moments?
Were you okay?
Were you happy?
Were you sad? Or distressed?
Were you about to take my hand?
It has been 6 months from the final battle. I know you must be so proud of your pretty little girls. They found peace.
Kara had to bear a punishment. I'm sure you would be absolutely devastated to hear that, but it was for the better. She is with the family you took her from, able to relive everything. She is carefree and has no memory of anything that happened.
Aru. She's just so brave, you know? I'm sure you would be mad to hear she has someone to love now. They look like when we were younger, living in the bliss of young love. She's taken most of your genes, which is why she looks absolutely pretty. She's grown into an independent, beautiful young woman.
Thank you for everything. I hope you've found peace.
And one day, I'll join you and we can make up for lost time.
I love you.
Love,
Krithika.
A tear dropped onto the letter. It dampened the small spot that it had fell on, smudging the cursive handwriting a little. She put her hands together and closed her wet eyes.
"I hope you're in a better place" Krithika prayed. She looked up to the sky, wondering if he was looking down at her endearingly. She crouched down to the chilling grave as the wind blew autumn leaves to the burial.
"You always liked autumn, didn't you? Now you can always see it"
And with that, on the cold ground that had now captivated her lover's body, Krithika Shah placed the last letter of love and ended their love story.
[prompt by @the-princess-fangirl. Tysm!]

My grandfather, my DadaJi, passed this Saturday, 10/5/2024. I'm at his home now, surrounded by extended family whose names I don't remember, waiting for the funeral to start.
My dad is hurting, bad. He's quiet, withdrawing, and trying to suppress how easily irritated he is. But he's fighting to make sure he's not dumping that on anyone he loves.
My DadiJi, my grandmother, is so so so skinny. She's going to go live with her brother, I think.
DadaJi was so kind. He loved me and my siblings and my cousins so much. He always made time for us, and the way he treated the woman who helped clean his house speaks to his character. Her name is Dora, and I asked how she was doing, and she got choked up. She loved him, she said.
He was an immigrant from India, born in a city that was India until it became Pakistan, and he walked and was carried across the new border as a child. He lost his twin siblings in the crossing.
He and my blood grandmother moved to the US when my dad was 5, escaping another war. When my dad was 20, his mom, my blood grandmother, died of cancer.
Later, about a decade ago, my uncle, my dad's younger brother, died in a plane crash.
Through it all, my grandfather was steady and calm and loving. He was a rock, always looking out for the people around him as long as I knew him.
He was in my life since I was little, and he was always a figure, an archetype in my life rather than a whole person? He was just my DadaJi. He saved up his whole life to put his kids and grandkids through college, and I spent my college years afraid of disappointing him. But when I failed out sophomore year, and had to take a year off, he just told me to recover and do my best. I went to live with him and my DadiJi that year, and he was delighted to have me around. We would go out for dinner and, when I got curious, he would tell me about Hinduism. I didn't retain it, but he made time for me and told me about this important part of his world. His world was religion and family, in the evening of his life.
We would play chess. I always lost really bad, but it was nice, anyway.
He worked for AT&T, I discovered, doing something programing-adjacent I think. I always knew him to be very tech-savvy as my grandfather, with an awesome computer he let me play games on as a kid when I visited.
I know he and Dad had some trouble when Dad was in college, something about disowning him if he didn't become a doctor, and that Dad didn't come home while his mother was dying. But they'd worked it out by the time I came along, and I only heard bits and pieces, not wanting to dig too deep into things that seemed painful.
'dadaji disowned dad, then went away and reevaluated, came back 8 weeks later and let it go. one of the traits I see in him and in dad is the one to reevaluate what work they need to do on themselves to keep the people in their lives who are important to them to their fullest capacity rather than just in name. one of the strongest things Ive seen him do again and again' - my sister, when I showed her this draft
I didn't visit as often as I could have, should have, while he was dying. I kept putting it off, not wanting to have to entertain the old people, not admitting to myself I didn't want to see them fading. I'm working on forgiving myself for that.
I asked my DadaJi for traditional masculine Indian clothes, after I came out as trans, but didn't phrase it right, and he gave me a western suit jacket. It's a little big, but I can alter it to fit.
DadaJi wasn't perfect. He tried to tell me why it doesn't make sense to be trans, and we had a long, civil, saddening conversation about it. That was the last real conversation I had with him - after that, we just did family zoom calls just making small talk.
He never used my pronouns, but he did switch to using my chosen name.
I love him so much.
I didn't expect the grief to hit me so strongly. I thought we weren't that close. But flying in for the funeral, I couldn't shake the thought that he would be there when I got to his house.
He had a small altar with pictures of...religious figures? Ancestors? I'm not sure. But the pictures were framed and then draped in flowers. I'm going to do the same for him, because it would make him feel loved.
We're on the way to the funeral today. It'll be an open casket, and he'll be cremated at the end. I'm pretty sure he believed in reincarnation. My wish for him in his next life is that he stays kind, loving, and loved.
#skip this if you want#im just letting my feelings out#shufflepuff speaks#grief#death mention#death#funeral#cremation

If all of the Reds and Blues and Freelancers played instruments, what do you think they'd all play? All I can think of is Doc/O'Malley on violin (probably gets really into it like Devil Went Down To Georgia), Sarge on trumpet (cuz bugles but can actually play it nice too), Florida on ukulele, and Maine and Locus taking up classic guitar and cello respectively for therapeutic reasons and ending up getting really into it.
Those all sound really good!
Hmm... it depends on what kind of music they're going for. I think in general, most of them haven't had the chance to really practice much music, but in season 15, we saw some of them formed a band! Carolina sings (so good), and it looked like Grif and Tucker were both on guitar, while Caboose did drums (if I remember right).
Sarge is certainly musically inclined, in regards to how much he likes to make up songs about killing stuff he doesn't like. I'm gonna say he knows how to play guitar, generally classic-rock/folk/country with what he does, but he surprises people by listening to wide range of musical genres (he's got a big collection that includes heavy metal and hip-hop). Oh, and he rocks on the harmonica!
Grif is good with guitar, and he'd probably be good on drums as well, but I'd like to think he secretly hides a gift with piano. Like, he can just naturally do really amazing/complicated pieces with ease (but when he was younger, little jerks he went to school with called that "sissy music", so he was awkward about sharing it with anybody). He's good with a uke too, and a very nice singer (again, if he's not feeling embarrassed)
Simmons WISHES he could play something like the violin or cello... but he just doesn't have rhythm, and gets too frustrated to practice properly. He doesn't have a bad voice, but he's a nervous mess if he tries to sing in front of people. He's able to get decent on the piano (with some help from Grif), and since he's a tech guy, he finds his own niche with electric keyboards (nothing too extravagant, but still very good)
Carolina is the one who had fancy music lessons when she was younger, but she's out of practice (she used to be good on clarinet and violin). She gets back into music and singing, picking up some guitar and piano... but surprises everybody by randomly deciding to get REALLY good at the harp (just to show off, haha)
Doc and O'Malley would certainly learn to play violin and fiddle, but I think they'd also practice different kinds of unique instruments; the kalimba, the tabla, the veena, the dholak, the balafon, and various types of flutes (they both also know how to make small little instruments with woodcraft; various things that Doc knows from his own traditions and heritage). They also are very good singers, Doc being especially into acapella/using voices to simulate instruments (though, O'Malley tends to ham it up for "villain" songs~)
Kai is more into mixing music, creating beats, maybe making something new with samples, and she is a killer DJ (dance music, electronica, techno remixes, and all similar variations. she's pretty good at changing up the "tone" of a song, but still keeping the melody strong)
Church is kinda-sorta good at a few things, but nothing he's invested in/practices often. However, he's pretty good at writing songs when he can focus on it (the Fragments all help, and they have a variety of musical genres they are into)
Tex is also OK with certain instruments, but not especially passionate to play anything often (she can sing though, but is the opposite of Carolina, who tends to lean toward more energetic songs. Tex will sing lower and slower)
Wash learned how to play the recorder in middle school. He can also play a kazoo, and can shake a tambourine on the beat. That's about it... with some help, he's OK on drums (he likes to back-up sing/harmonize with other people rather than sing solo)
Caboose is good on drums, he can put all his energy into making a strong rhythm! He's also good on various horns/brass and woodwinds, and really vibes with free-form jazz
Donut gets more caught-up with performing, he loves two come up with songs, sing and dance. He mostly likes pop-rock, but gets into other genres occasionally (he knows how to play the melodica very well). His big dream is to write a bunch of musicals~
Tucker is very good at different kinds of guitar, and he's a great singer as well (he didn't think he'd be into it, but just for practice, he tries out some classical/opera, and he's actually VERY impressive, he can project his voice very well and change the tone/pitch easily, and so he plays around merging old-school stuff with newer themes of music)
Locus hasn't had time for music in years... but he learned how to play different things as a kid; quena, siku, and some percussion instruments
Lopez can play basically anything he wants. People outside the loop will think it is just because he's a robot, and is therefore "copying" music that is already recorded... but Lopez will combine two completely different instruments and use them together in ways most people couldn't think of (he also leans toward very sappy loves songs, inspired by his adoration for Sheila~)
I don't have too many thoughts for the Freelancers... but if they could have had a different life path, York would probably have done well in a boy band, and South would have been a punk-rock star~

Quinn (Mulryan)
Un-f*cking-defeated.
Canon traits: surly, steadfast, to-the-point, casual to the idea of violence, protective, keeps to himself, evasive on personal details beyond jokes and little anecdotes, nominally the cinematographer, perhaps the make-up tech, an affinity for guns
Canon backstory: a former soldier of the IRA with a very large family, he had to leave to escape authorities. One of his siblings woke up dressed as Punky Brewster after a wild night. He and Karl broke into Planet Hollywood after another bender in the States.
My ideas:
His parents - Gráinne (graw-nyuh) and Fionn (fin) used to own a corner shop near the border which supplied black market goods to Northern Catholics during WW2. They moved further down when becoming more involved in the IRA. Not outright soldiers, but trained as such, they were intelligence gatherers and resource managers, meaning many people came and left the house when Quinn was younger. "If anyone asks, they're your uncles and aunties." the children were told.
Well, I say Quinn... but that wasn't his name back then, neither was his surname Mulryan. Someone's idea of a good US disguise was to up the Irish to a degree that no one would believe a defector would be that foolish. His birth name is much tamer: Seán Ó Díomasaigh, anglicised to John Dempsey.
Has three siblings - elder siblings Ruaidhrí (ryoo-uh-ryee with a rolled r) and Aoife (ee-fa), and younger brother Dáithí (da-hee). They were thick as thieves, always watching out for each other and (minus Ruaidhrí as there's a three year gap between him and Aoife) sticking up for each other in school.
As mentioned in the past-present picrew, he and his siblings went around local pubs collecting donations for the cause - "The Boys" as they said. While scrappy and boisterous sometimes, the patrons and soldiers adored them for their cute faces and naïve optimism - they'd be described as the reason to fight.
Unfortunately, this didn't stop the family from being exposed to bursts of violence, having to learn how to best hide, fight, and play dead fairly young. It became a game that continued even as things eased off, a competition between siblings to see who could stay still the longest or who could tell the best lie under the threat of a sharp stick in the eye. It became a dark joke among them, something to shake heads about over a pint alongside the other silly childish things they did.
As long as he could remember, Seán could see the beauty in the everyday, figure out the most interesting and emotive ways of expressing something visually. This showed whenever he was the one filming family get-togethers or trips, earning him the moniker of "our little Spielberg/George Lucas/ [whatever director that came to mind]" - they encouraged him, even as it was his turn for paramilitary training, to keep at it and make a career for himself when victory came.
Once he'd become a reserve he was given leave to enroll in a part-time college film course in a nearby city, the nearest one he could find but still away from home. He learned everything he could about cinematography and what different shots meant, quickly deciding that was where his passions truly lay, but wasn't able to do much actual handling of cameras to his chagrin. As covert as he tried to be, his loyalties betrayed themselves in his coursework and led to his dangerously neutral mentor basically saying "You're better than just a propaganda filmmaker, step out of your comfort zone, make something truly creative." He graduated with a final piece under this idea, but didn't have a chance to show his family before things got bad again.
By the time he came back, his mother and father were sick, Aoife their carer and supplier, with Ruaídhrí trained as intelligence and Dáithí as an on-the-ground fighter with fire in his eyes. The little brother had become hardened, partly by Seán's own doing, and had a devastating plan that would endanger many civilians and himself but eliminate a key figure in the British side. As you may guess, this was a step he couldn't let happen - the opportunity to express himself creatively had made a crack in his desensitised shell, not much by outside standards, but enough to have him interfere to save his brother and dozens of civilians. He aimed at the target himself from on high, succeeding in killing... a bodyguard.
The fallout was life-shattering - family and cause betrayed, a target of enemy assassins, a promising career ruined before it could start. Seán ran and incapacitated anyone sent his way, first to Europe, then to the States on the same journey as a particular former East German informant.
#{reel rewound}#reel rewound: quinn mulryan#retry baby! this feels much more like him than the first one#i tried giving him and karl similar elements to their backstories while making their skills complimentary#quinn knows which shots to use and has a greater developed artistic vision while karl has more hands on experience and pragmatism with film#btw Dáithí was the punky brewster brother - trés tragique!

Pieces of Us
Pairing: Bucky x Female Reader
Summary: You come home on a Saturday afternoon to jazz in the air. And it isn't long before your new manicure catches Bucky's attention. This blurb is fluff sprinkled with nostalgia and kisses.
Word Count: 843
A/N: In the midst of working on requests, this idea came and I had to get it out. School is going great but the workload is on another level, so I'm happy to be able to post this smaller piece in the meantime. I hope you all are well. Enjoy.
Warm light poured through the blinds, and onto the wood floor in thin, golden streaks. Bucky studied them as he sat in thought. The airy jazz melody flowing throughout the living room had taken him to a period that seemed both a lifetime, and an arm’s length away.
It was Saturday, well into the afternoon, yet he was reminded of the songs his mother used to play on the radio when she would tidy the house after breakfast on Saturday mornings. Music drove her just as much as her love for their little family. Once upon a time, Bucky listened to it whenever he could—dance and sing too, if the moment permitted—all because her own love for music had encouraged his.
When the lock on the apartment door twisted, his gaze flitted to it. You were entering a beat later, eyes bright, and carrying one too many grocery bags. As he pushed himself from the couch to help, he lightheartedly scolded you for not texting him to come down. But you brushed off his words with a smile and shrug as if to say that you’d managed on your own.
It wasn’t until you two started un-bagging the food that Bucky noticed that there was something different about your nails. They were longer. Interesting. He waited until everything was put away to acknowledge them.
A smile found its way onto your face when Bucky took your hands. The two of you were still in the kitchen, and the soft music still navigated its way through apartment. With a small frown of curiosity, he made you stretch out your fingers so he could take a look at the work that had been done. They were nice. The added length made your fingers appear longer and more slender. The shade, a dusty rose, complimented your skin in a way worthy of being deemed classy and elegant.
You met Bucky’s gaze. “Do you like them?”
He hummed. “You’ve never had them like this before. Not that I’ve seen.” He searched your eyes to make sure that assertion was truthful. He was almost certain he never had. He would’ve remembered such a change.
“Yeah, I haven’t had acrylics in forever. Figured I’d go ahead and get them done ‘cause I had time,” you said. “I feel all fancy now.”
He cracked a smile. “You should. They look real nice, doll.” He lifted each of your hands to kiss them. Your skin still smelled faintly of the citrusy lotion that the nail tech massaged into it towards the end of the appointment.
Something about the look in Bucky's eyes shifted. “You know…” he began, “there was something my mom used to do with her nails when I was younger.” His hands came to rest on your waist and, in turn, you wrapped your arms around his neck.
You offered a kind smile and pressed a quick kiss to his chin. “Tell me about it,” you said. “I could listen to you talk about her all day.”
There was a pleasant flutter within his chest. “It was called the 'half moon' manicure. She’d only paint a strip across the middle of her nails. I remember how the red polish looked kinda shiny. And how Rebecca would stand over her shoulder to watch as she painted them. Our dad always complimented her on them too.” His voice had grown measured, as if he were tiptoeing through memories.
You stayed quiet for a bit before murmuring, “I love that.”
He touched his forehead to yours. “I did too.”
Then you pressed your lips to his in a sweet kiss. The jazz was still playing, having transitioned to a new song. Your lips moved together slowly as if taking part in a dance of their own. You could feel him. Everything that he was, everything that he was trying to hold on to. Surely, he felt you too. Your fingers moved to the nape of his neck, nails lightly scratching at the skin. For a fraction of a second, his lips faltered against yours and a shiver coursed down his spine.
He’d have to get used to the longer nails against his skin, he realized.
The kiss eventually reached the end of its life, and he looked down at you intently.
“M’gonna take you out.”
You combed a hand through his hair. “Are you now?”
“Yes. I don’t know where to yet, but I will,” he said. “We’re gonna listen to some good music, dance, enjoy ourselves. You're gonna be in a dress that goes with those pretty nails of yours," he explained. "We'll make some memories to share with our kids one day.”
You gave a playful tilt of your head. “Kids, you say?” It seemed so perfect and impossible that being parents was a reality within your reach.
“Yes, kids.” His lips quirked in amusement. “We’re gonna love ‘em with everything that we’ve got and make sure they always have a whole bunch of pieces of us to hold on to.”
"Sounds good to me."

“He drowned in all our sins
He drowned in our mistakes
Fueled by the flood, we pay in blood
The curse of Crystal Lake .”
CW: Mentions/Descriptions of drowning, murder, some cursing, drunk jerk of a boyfriend
“It’s my fault that he’s gone! I wasn’t strong enough, wasn’t quick enough, and I will never forgive myself— let alone forgive them— for that day!”
Meredith “Merry” Ross
Age: 25 Height: 5’4” Occupation: Library Tech
Significant Other: Jason Voorhees
Appearance
FC in edit is Daria Sidorchuk
Physical Description: Merry is white, with pale skin and freckles across the bridge of her nose with a few spreading to her cheeks. Her eyes are a feature she often receives compliments on since they are a deep brown and doe-like. She has an hourglass figure and is a bit on the muscular side since she spent her high school years in Track (running helped clear her mind).
Hair: She has dark auburn hair that falls around mid-back in length. She often wears it braided or pulled into a ponytail with a few loose pieces hanging around her face.
Scars: She has a thin scar through her upper lip from a scuffle she got into with some kids during her stay at Camp Crystal Lake.
Style: She believes in comfort over fashion, so her wardrobe features flannels, baggy graphic tees, a few old pairs of jeans, and her reliable canvas sneakers that she’s had since high school. She also has a beaded bracelet that she and Jason made when they were kids and she never takes it off. On the off chance she feels like dressing differently, she opts for sundresses with flowy skirts (Jason loves these the most because he thinks she looks like a princess).
Personality
When she was younger, she was a bubbly, carefree spirit with a spark of fire that would make itself known when something was important to her. However, after what happened to Jason, she retreated into her mind and became a shell of herself with a pessimistic view that veiled her eyes. She’d argue it’s a “realist” view, though. She’s seen the a lot of the worst in people and very little of the good, so don’t be hurt if she’s not the quickest to open up.
Merry is very much the type of person to be quiet and reserved at first, but once one gets by that rough exterior of hers, she’s a delight to have around. She’s caring, helpful, and a great shoulder to lean on when times get tough. She’s a “mom friend” through and through. Always has snacks, a little first aid kit on hand, and makes homemade soup whenever a friend is sick (would totally take care of them and baby them, no debate— Jason also loves this).
While being friends (and in a relationship) with Jason, she’s learned that she has a fierce protective streak— especially when it comes to meeting new people. She just loves him so much and doesn’t want to see him upset or hurt, so she’s always by his side and showing PDA to remind him that, no matter what anyone can say, she loves him for him.
“He’s down there deep within
We’ve found there’s no escape
You just scratched the surface of the curse of Crystal Lake.”
Meredith’s Story
Meredith Ross grew up with her grandmother near the infamous Camp Crystal Lake, where she would spend her summers exploring the woods and playing with the boy next door— Jason Voorhees. While his mother was hesitant to let the two play (knowing how harsh other children had been in the past when it came to her son’s appearance), she simply could not deny Meredith. The little girl was all sunlight and happiness, with big doe eyes and a smile to melt even the coldest of hearts. Once Jason and Merry were introduced, they became inseparable.
During their time spent together, they learned a lot from one another. Jason would teach her ASL so she could understand him and Merry would teach him what she was learning at school. More often than not, the two could be found in a blanket fort with her reading her favorite book of the week. With how close the pair were, naturally it seemed the best idea to Pamela to extend the invitation to Merry to join Jason for camp during the summer.
If only they knew just how poorly that would turn out.
Merry was there when Jason met his unfortunate demise in the dark waters of Crystal Lake. She remembered how cold the water was when she dove in after him once the other kids let her go. To this day, she could still remember the way it made her bones ache and her breath hitch in her chest…
Getting over the loss of Jason wasn’t easy— hell, even now as an adult, her heart was still heavy. She still had nightmares about that day, just not as frequently as she used to. She also refused to swim after that day, so she still didn’t know how to even though she was older now. College became her sole focus for a while as she studied to be a kindergarten teacher, but when no positions were available at the local school, she opted for working in the library at the school. While it wasn’t what she was aiming for, she did enjoy sorting the books and recommending her favorites to the kids who were looking for a good read.
She lived in a small apartment in town with her boyfriend, Jackson, who seemed nice enough when he wanted to be. When he was in a good mood, she remembered all the reasons why she loved him and was happier than ever. When he was in a sour mood, however, she might as well have been a stranger to him. She pushed through these issues, however, with the thought that all relationships had their ups and downs.
She never had any intention to return to Crystal Lake after what happened, not even when the rumors started about the ‘killer’ that roamed the ground with vengeance in his heart and a machete in hand— the very one that had been used by a camp counselor to kill his mother…
That is, until her grandmother passed away and left everything to her, including the house she grew up in on the outskirts of the camp.
She had a decision to make. Did she go and face the past? Or continue living this facade of a normal life? When she asked her boyfriend, he was incredibly supportive and even suggested she go back, that he’d accompany her to help her with the heavy lifting.
So, she returned to Crystal Lake with her boyfriend to try and bury the past by clearing out her grandmother’s house. What she didn’t anticipate, however, was how strong the nostalgia would be. Each room held memories of her childhood, some shared with Jason, others with her grandmother. She spent the first night back in her old room, in a makeshift blanket fort, curled up and crying as the weight of both losses settled on her shoulders.
“She raised him right and he’ll come out to play
When mother whispers, ‘Thank God it’s Friday’.”
The Reunion
The night had been a complete disaster, all thanks to a remark she’d made.
While Merry went through what was in the living room, deciding what to pack up and take back to the apartment, Jackson did little to offer assistance. Instead, he passed the time with a bottle in hand and an absent look in his eyes. He’d volunteered to join her to help her, hadn’t he?
“You could’ve stayed home.” She said as she looked through an old photo album. When she didn’t get a response, she glanced over her shoulder to see that he’d settled his empty glare on her.
She furrowed her brows. “What? I’m just sayin’-“
That was all it took to start the explosive fight. Furniture had been flipped, glass had been shattered, and ties were severed through the yelling match that practically made the walls shake with their fury. Shouting became shoving, grabbing, smacking, then it ended up with Jackson dragging her back to the one place that hurt her most.
Camp Crystal Lake, specifically the dock where Jason had been shoved into the water.
Anger melted into panic as she tried to fight against his iron grip, pleading with him to let her go. She apologized over and over, promised to do anything for him, but her voice didn’t seem to reach him. He glanced down at her, his eyes icy yet filled with fiery determination.
Before she knew it, she was shoved into the water.
Cold— It was the kind that seeps into one’s bones, marking the marrow with its frigid touch, and causes every muscle to seize into momentary numbness.
Meredith had almost forgotten how cold the unforgiving water of Crystal Lake could get. Yet here she was, flailing around in what seemed to be the endless depths like she had so many years ago. Only difference was that, in the past, she was trying to save someone else. Now? She might as well have been hopelessly alone.
Each time she breached the surface, she begged and pleaded in broken sobs and gasps, but he stood as still as a statue— watching in sadistic amusement as she struggled to stay afloat. He had known she wasn’t a swimmer, and he knew damn well her afflictions when it came to the very lake that would now suck her into the chilled depths.
She wasn’t sure what hurt worse— The water entering her lungs and freezing her stiff, or the betrayal from someone she loved.
Her throat constricted, forcing her into silence as water rushed over her head once more. She didn’t have much time left, and as scary as it was, it was also… reassuring. How ironic to be haunted by her best friend’s death in this very lake for her entire life, only to die the same way, in the same place…?
One last time, she forced herself to the surface. In the man’s place stood a large silhouette, with an oblong shape hanging by its side. Where her boyfriend had gone, she had no clue. But she hoped that maybe, just maybe, the shadow would have a shred of mercy.
Her frigid limbs shot out of the water, reaching for the potential savior, her eyes filled with silent pleas.
Before she sunk into the water one last time, she watched as the figure knelt down and reached for her outstretched hands. As water clouded her vision and her lungs burned, all she could make out was the hockey mask the figure adorned.
“Don’t you know he’ll never be gone for good?
So we’ll never get out of the woods
A machete in one hand and an axe in the other
Steadfast in his mask in the shadow of mother
Ready to resume
You’re all doomed.”
Present Day
Meredith still lives in Camp Crystal Lake in her childhood home with the love of her life, Jason Voorhees. While adjusting to his… ‘occupation’ was a bit of a challenge, she eventually came to terms with it and thought of it as Jason protecting his home from trespassers. After all, the camp had been long shut down and abandoned, with a very clear ‘no trespassing’ sign outside, so the public had been warned not to dare enter.
And it simply wasn’t her business if someone disobeyed all of the signs and blatantly ignored the rumors and tales of the killer that lurked about.
When Jason isn’t hunting down the idiots in camp, he’s back at home with Merry, the only place where he truly feels at ease. It was a challenge to convince Jason to move in with her, but once she saw the cabin he had been living in, she wasn’t going to take no for an answer. So, she managed to convince the gentle giant to move in with her with a little bit of bargaining. It didn’t take much, and the downside was something she could easily look over.
Pamela’s head shrine is in their basement, but she never goes down there anyway, no big deal—
It wasn’t long after Jason moved in that they fell back into their old rhythm from childhood, where they would go in adventures through the woods, make flower crowns when the meadow was in bloom, and they’d often end their nights with her reading to him in a blanket fort (yes, his feet stick out because it’s not big enough). Jason is also insistent on being by her side anytime she goes outside, even if it’s just for a little stroll, for two reasons. One, to keep her safe from potential trespassers. The second reason was to keep her from stepping in any potential traps that he’d set throughout camp. All it took was her being a step and a half away from a bear trap and he was a mess.
They have yet to “tie the knot” since it would be difficult to do so without leaving the camp, but Merry still considers Jason to be her husband. She didn’t a silly marriage ceremony when she already had all she could ever ask for. A cozy home, a beautiful view, and she finally had her best friend back after all these years… Life was truly a dream.
A/N: I did itttt! I finally finished! I didn’t mean for it to be so long, I just love them and I have had this idea in my head for a long time. I hope y’all like her! There’s more to her that I left out for now that I plan on writing separate pieces for. But for now, this is her— Meredith Ross, the lover of Jason Voorhees, who adores her big slashy man with all of her heart😂💖

Defending Family-Technoblade, Wilbur Soot, and Tommyinnit
This is a Brother!Technoblade & Brother!Wilbur Soot &Brother!Tommyinnit x gn!reader. This is not in the dreamsmp but it is in the SBI AU where Philza is the father of Wilbur, Technoblade, Tommy and in this imagine, Y/N! In this, Y/N is younger than Wilbur and Techno but older than Tommy
When Y/N hears the school bully talking shit about their family… Well it’s no surprise when that bully gets hit.
Y/N’s POV
“Y/N! Wake up!” The annoying voice of my even more annoying brother sounded as a pillow smacked me in the face waking me from my sleep. My eyes shot open and I made contact with Tommy’s blue eyes, “Ow Tommy! What the hell?!?” I exclaimed, sitting myself up, rubbing the bridge of my nose trying to ease the throbbing pain. Tommy simply threw his head back and cackled before bolting out of the room.
I let out a sigh before throwing the blankets off of me before getting out of bed to get ready for the day. It didn’t take long. I stripped off my PJs and threw on a random outfit before making my way to the bathroom to do my business. As I was brushing my hair, Tommy pounded on the door, “HURRY UP Y/N! I need in there!” He yelled from the other side of the door. I rolled my eyes and yelled back, “You should have thought of that before you woke me up! You can wait!” Tommy continued to knock on the door, annoying me even further.
Finally, once I was done, I swung the door open causing Tommy to stumble forward. I smirked as he caught himself and looked at me in annoyance, “Finally!” He let out, walking further in while I walked out. “Shut up,” I responded, the door slamming closed behind me.
I made my way downstairs to the kitchen where I found my father over the stove and my two other brothers sitting at the kitchen island waiting for my dad to finish making breakfast. “Good morning,” I beamed, sitting on the stool in between Wilbur and Techno causing everyone to turn to me for a moment. Dadza grinned at me before going back to his skillet, “Morning honey, how’d you sleep?” “I slept fine. I would have preferred a different wake up call though,” I answered, rolling my eyes at the thought. My older brothers both let out laughs as Dadza sighed, “What did he do this time?” Dadza questioned, turning around, bringing the pan with him. “He smacked my face with a pillow and yelled at me… Nothing new, but still not something preferred.” Dadza nodded as he scooped eggs from the skillet onto the plate before me. He then proceeded to turn and also place a pancake and a couple slices of bacon on my plate as well. “Thank you,” I thanked sincerely, picking up my fork and knife, digging in. “Anytime kiddo.”
As the three of us ate, footsteps bounded down the stairs behind. “Morning,” Tommy called, sitting on the open stool next to Wilbur. “Morning,” the three responded. Dadza moved quickly and filled Tommy’s plate with breakfast before moving to fill his own. “Sleep well Tommy?” He asked, sitting on the one stool that sat across from us. “Yep! Had an amazing dream where I married a hot woman and then I woke up and smacked Y/N in the face to wake them up. Pretty Pogchamp morning,” Tommy babbled, his mouth full of eggs as he spoke. Dadza made a face of disgust, “Please don’t speak with your mouth full Tommy. And please stop smacking your sibling in the face to wake them up, you know they hate it.” “Oh I know they hate it. That’s why I keep doing it,” Tommy announced, smirking at me from the other side of our brother. “If Wilbur wasn’t here right now, I’d smack you,” I hissed, glaring at my little brother. “But he is and so you can’t do anything,” Tommy teased, sticking his tongue out at me. I looked up to Wilbur, my eyes pleading at him to do something. Wilbur got the message and raised his hand and smacked the back of Tommy’s head, causing him to yelp. “Hey!” “You asked for it!”
“Kids! Kids! Please, can we just have a calm morning for once?” our dad slightly pleaded. I let out a deep breath and nodded, “Anything for you dad,” I muttered before shoving more pancake into my mouth. Tommy huffed, but also went back to his breakfast. “Now that that’s over, what are you doing today?” Techno questioned, looking to our father. Philza smiled at the change of topic, “Well there are a few new clients at work that I have been in charge of so I’ll mostly be pretty busy all day. I’ll be home in time for dinner though, do you guys want me to pick something up or can you handle it.” Before Tommy or I could ask for pizza, Techno and Wilbur spoke up at the same time, “We can handle it.” I couldn’t help but huff and slightly pout. I really wanted pizza.
I didn’t have time to dwell on it though because an alarm went off causing the four of us kids to jump into action. The alarm was set in order to get us out of the house because if we didn’t leave at that specific time, we would be late for school. Techno and Wilbur no longer went to high school, they both graduated three years ago. But the two still took us to school everyday so Dadza wouldn’t have to worry about it. Wilbur was the only one that could drive, and as much as he hates to admit it, Techno hates being left alone so he always came along.
The four of us finished the food on our plates, placing them in the sink. “Bye Dadza,” I chimed, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek before heading to the door. I could hear the other three doing the same before they joined me by the door. I slipped on my back pack, Tommy doing the same, before exiting the house and piling into Wilbur’s car. The ride to school consisted of Wilbur, Tommy, and I screaming along to whatever music was playing, and Techno pretending to be annoyed by the three of us.
“Alright. Get out,” Wilbur demanded, putting the car in park outside the front of the high school. “Thank you Will. Bye Tech! Love you both!” I chimed before getting out of the car. “Bye Y/N, love you too” They responded before I shut the door. Tommy echoed what I had said, getting the same response before he closed his door as well. Wilbur drove away leaving Tommy and I standing there. “Come on Tommathy” I stated before walking toward the entrance of the school. “Don’t call me that” Tommy demanded, but followed close behind me. I threw my head back in laughter and shook my head. “I’ll do what I please thank you.”
Once we were inside, Tommy and I went separate ways. He went to his locker to meet up with his best friend, Tubbo and I went to mine meeting up with my best friend, Sapnap. Sapnap and I became best friends due to our brothers. Dream and George were pretty good friends with Wilbur and Techno and when they went places Dadza sometimes forced them to take me with them so he could take care of Tommy. Dream and George would in turn bring their younger brother, Sapnap, so that we would stay out of their way. We grew very close through all the hang out time and it was like I had yet another brother.
“Hey dork,” I greeted my best friend as I opened my locker. “Hey loser. Have a good night?” He greeted back, leaning against the locker next to me. I hummed and nodded at his question, “Yeah, it was pretty good. Did you get the math homework done?” I asked, closing my locker and turning to him. A panicked look over took his face, “We had math homework?” I couldn’t help but laugh at my best friend’s forgetfulness. “Yes we did. And lucky for you I did it… Yes you can copy it.” I answered his unasked question. Sapnap immediately relaxed. A chuckle escaped his lips as he slung an arm around my shoulder, “You’re the best.” “Yeah, yeah.”
Together the two of us made our way to our first class, but a familiar voice caused me to stop in my tracks, “Come on man. Just give it back!” It was Tommy. Sapnap gave me a confused look as I turned around and marched toward the sound of my brother’s voice. My blood began to boil at the sight in front of me. There, in front of my brother, stood Chad, the school bully. In his hand was one of Tommy’s most prized possessions, his music disc. That was the last thing that our mom gave to him before she passed. He loved it so dearly and was very careful with it. Why was it here and why the hell does Chad have it?
“Oh what? You gonna cry about it? Cry like you did when your mommy died?” Chad taunted, holding the disc close to his chest. It didn’t take a detective to tell that Tommy’s eyes were welling with tears. “Please, just give it back,” Tommy practically begged, holding his hand out. “Oh I’ll give it back alright. I’ll give it back in pieces.” Chad brought the disc out and put both hands on it. Before he could begin to bend it, I snapped. “HEY!” I shouted, stomping up to the three boys, Sapnap following behind me. Chad stopped what he was doing, surprised at the new voice, but the smirk returned to his face once he recognized who it was. “Well, looky at what we have here,” He taunted. Paying no mind to his taunt, “Give me the music disc. Now.” I demanded, glaring at the boy. Chad simply threw his head back and laughed, “No, I don’t think I will.”
“You’re a jerk Chad,” Sapnap spoke up, momentarily distracting the bully, allowing me to rip the disc from Chad’s hands. “Hey!” He let out, his head whipping back to me. “Here Tommy,” I spoke gently, handing the possession back to its rightful owner. Tommy carefully took it before wrapping it back up and sliding it carefully in his book bag. “Thanks Y/N” Tommy thanked quietly. “Anytime Tommy. Let’s go boys,” I demanded before slightly pushing Tommy and Tubbo so they would walk in front of me.
“That’s right! Run away! Just like your father did when things got tough!” Chad called from behind us. His words caused me to stop in my tracks. “What did you just say?” I hissed over my shoulder. Chad simply smirked and crossed his arms, “You heard me, your father’s a coward. So are your other brothers. Wilbur and Techno? Yeah they’re freaks and you’re just like them,” He responded smugly. I felt a tug on my arm. I looked back in front of me and found Tommy standing there with an extremely worried look on his face. “Come on Y/N. It’s not worth it.” I let out a deep breath before nodding and taking a few steps forward once more.
As I was walking, a force shoved me from behind causing me to stumble, “That’s right, walk away.” For the third time today, I stopped walking. A smirk covered my face as I slid my backpack off of my back. I mean hey, he started it by pushing me. “What? Did I make you upset? What are you-” I didn’t let Chad finish.
In one swift motion, I turned on my heel and punched Chad in the face as hard as I could. Chad stumbled back in utter shock, his hand coming up to cover his nose. When he pulled his hand back, it was covered in blood. “You punched me!” He shouted incredulously. “You punched me in the face!” “And I’ll do it again!” In one quick moment, we both rushed forward at each other. Punches were being thrown left and right. A few landed on me, but I didn’t care. The only thing I cared about was defending my family.
At one point, I stomped on Chad’s toes causing him to lose balance and I pushed him to the ground on his back. I dropped on top of him, straddling his chest and just began wailing on him. “Y/N! Y/N stop! You’ve got him! Stop!” Someone yelled from behind me. I didn’t care to listen to them, the sight of Chad helpless under me too much to pass up. As I wound up for another punch, my arm was being pinned to my side and I was pulled off of the bully. “Let me go!” I screeched, trying so hard to wiggle out of the person’s arms. They turned me around to face them and grabbed my shoulders, shaking me slightly. “Y/N!” It was Sapnap, “It’s over. You knocked him out. It’s done!” His words finally hit me and I stopped fighting in his arms.
I looked over at Chad and noticed his eyes were closed and his face was bloody and beaten. I looked down at my hands and found them also covered in blood and my knuckles were busted and would surely bruise. I also knew from the feeling that my face was also covered in blood. I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh at what had just happened. Sapnap looked at me like I was actually crazy. I gave him a little shrug, “Oops.” “Y/N MINECRAFT! TO THE OFFICE NOW!”
So there I found myself sitting in the principal’s office, holding an ice pack to my knuckles. Tommy, Tubbo, Sapnap had given their testimony as to what had happened to the principal before they were sent back to class. Chad was still laid up in the nurse’s office. He was waiting there until his parents could come. They had informed me they had to call my parents as well. I begged them not to call my dad, I knew today was a big important day for his business. The secretary, who knew me very well and knew I was a good kid, agreed and instead called my big brothers to come pick me up. That almost made me more nervous than if my father were to pick me up.
It didn’t take long for Wilbur and Techno to show up. Neither of them looked at me when they walked in, which caused a pit to form in my stomach. The principal gave them a very brief description as to what had happened, just that I had got in a physical fight and was suspended for today and the next two days. “Let’s go,” Wilbur muttered as he passed me, walking out the door, Techno following behind him. I scrambled up quickly, wishing the secretary goodbye before following my brother’s out the door.
The car ride back home was deadly silent. The radio wasn’t even on. Wilbur and Techno didn’t talk to me or each other the entire ride. Wilbur pulled into our driveway, parked, and killed the engine. He remained in his seat though, and didn't make a move to get out of the car, causing me to remain seated as well. “This isn’t like you, Y/N. What the hell happened?” Wilbur asked quietly, not turning to look at me. “He took Tommy’s disc,” I murmured quietly. “What? Speak up,” Wilbur demanded, looking at me through the rear-view mirror. “He took Tommy’s disc!” I spilled, getting it off my chest. “He took Tommy’s disc and wouldn’t give it back. So I got it back and then when we were walking away, he made fun of dad and you two and Tommy pulled me along, but then Chad shoved me so I turned around and punched him. When he continued to come at me, I fought him. I knocked him out. But he deserved it. He can’t just make fun of you and Techno and dad and Tommy and get away with it and-” “Y/N!” Techno interjected, cutting me off. “Yeah?” I asked, kind of breathless. “He took Tommy’s disc? And then made fun of our family? And proceeded to shove you?” Techno questioned, making sure he understood the story. I nodded, “Yeah”
There was a brief moment of silence before Techno broke out in a laugh, causing Wilbur to grin. “Well good on you then!” Techno cheered, belly laughing. “You’re not mad?” I questioned, still a bit hesitant. Wilbur let out a sigh and shook his head no, “I was at first… Well maybe not. I think I was more surprised than anything. We’ve never had that problem with you and it shocked me to the core to get that phone call. If anything I thought it would be Tommy first.” We all had a laugh about that. “But hearing you did that to defend us. Our family. How could I be mad at that?”
Wilbur took off his seatbelt and got out of the car, causing Techno and I to do the same. As I got out, Wilbur scooped me up in a big hug. Techno quickly made his way around the car and joined our hug. “I’m so proud of you for defending yourself and your family. Although, next time I would prefer it if you did it without the violence,” Wilbur claimed, pressing a soft kiss to the top of my head. “I wouldn’t. The more violence the better!” Techno chimed in. Giggles escaped my lips at that, of course he would say something like that. “I think I’ll try and lay low for a while. Although now everyone knows not to mess with Y/N Minecraft!” The other two joined in my laughter. “Come on Y/N. Let’s get you cleaned and bandaged up and then we’ll go for ice cream.” Wilbur said, pulling away from the hug and dragging me toward the house. I raised my eyebrow as we got inside, “It’s 8 in the morning?” Wilbur shook his head and rolled his eyes as he sat me down in the kitchen, Techno leaving to get the first aid kit. “There is never a wrong time for ice cream”
There you have it! I hope you enjoyed! If so, please be sure to leave a like!!

THE ITADORI TWINS (Sukuna Ryomen and Itadori Yuuji)
*reposted*
Ryomen Sukuna and Yuuji Itadori as Twins
Request: Au where sukuna and itadori are twins and what it’s like with them in jujutsu tech and all that chaotic shiz. I just love thinking about their sibling dynamics.
Author Note: I had a lot of fun writing this au. I have thought of it myself how it could be like. I hope you enjoy the headcanons!
Please excuse any grammar or spelling. I am going based on the anime and manga.
Warnings: Curse Words/Language from Sukuna who else
Word Count: 984

Sukuna Itadori and Yuuji Itadori as brothers/twins
Sukuna is well-known as the bad/evil twin, the delinquent
who always gets into fights and the troublemaker in the family
Always has bruised knuckles, because he gets into fights on purpose.
He likes having adrenaline running through his veins
He is intelligent and has potential, but he rather sleeps during his classes and somehow passed his exams easily
His nickname through his reputation was Ryomen
As for Yuuji, he is known as the good twin due to his kindness and goodness in his heart
Is the one who gets his twin brother out of trouble
He always gets in the middle of his brothers fight to break it up
He loves his brother even though he is a pain in the ass.
He isn’t as smart as his brother. Sometimes he needs Sukuna to explain an assignment if he doesn’t get it.
Their only family member, the grandfather was always being called on to speak about Sukuna misbehaving in the younger days
He has tried to discipline him, but Sukuna just ignores him
Sukuna only listened to his grandmother who passed away when he was 11 years old
Sukuna finds his grandfather suspicious which makes Yuuji laugh because he was being ‘paranoid’ and weird
The boys had their jobs in multiple retail stores as models
They gotta eat and paying grandfathers bills
They were definitely known by their modeling careers
Sukuna was the one who found the job because he doesn’t want to work too hard, likes easy money (+PLUS FREE CLOTHES)
The twins always have their backs for each other
If Yuuji sees someone trying to jump into the fight to ambush Sukuna.
He will jump in to defense his brother despite not liking being dragging into Sukuna’s fights, but he will make an expectation
Yuuji hates unfair fights, but knows Sukuna can beat anyone’s asses without any doubt
Sukuna doesn’t like it when Yuuji butts his way into his fights, but does know Yuuji has good intentions
Appearance Changes
They both earn like scar that sort of looks like eyelids underneath their eyes
Sukuna earn tattoos all over his body when two were faced to fight a cursed spirit
They didn’t know anything about Jujutsu World
They were attacked by cursed spirit walking back home very late at night from a photoshoot
Sukuna thought it was just dirt to that weird blood of the cursed spirit until he stripped down to take a shower to see it didn't come off. He sort of accept this new look on his body
He looks pretty badass in his opinion
Yuuji was the only one who still looked the same, except for those scars underneath his eyes.
This experience make them to become closer to each other as brothers
They were actually fighting for their lives.
Jujutsu Tech
Gojo was the one who was sent out to exorcise the knocked out low level Cursed spirit and investigate.
Sending Megumi into their school to find out if he sees something unusual which was seeing Sukuna having similar tattoos as sorcerers have their own curse.
He already knew it due to investigating seeing the twins from their home window cooking dinner
When twins meet Gojo for the first time, they recruit them and teach them how to control their energy, because now they are gonna become targets.
Sukuna has the curse technique of cutting/slicing up cursed spirits and physical combat techniques
Yuuji only gain the physical combat cursed techniques, he is salty that his twin was able to cut spirits however he wants
Bold of you to assume Sukuna is gonna stay in the dorms at nighttime, he is party animal who gets invited to parties left and right
He brides on Yuuji to cover for him, but Yuuji sets curfew because after that he isn’t gonna cover for him.
They are a powerful duo who shook the Jujutsu Sorcery World while having relations to a famous 1,000 year old vengeful spirit, Sukuna. They look exactly like the reincarnation of that same spirit.
Siblings Dynamics
Yuuji is always using the “I am older than you by a minute" card when he claims to be in the right.
Sukuna always lies when asked who is the oldest one, claiming it was him.
Sukuna was the one who cooked deliciously good due to being taught by his grandmother who convinced him to focus his energy into something proactive instead of using his fist.
Yuuji can cook simple things, other than that he will burn it a little bit. Sukuna would throw a fit.
Sukuna is picky eater who doesn't like the taste of burn in his food
Sukuna and Yuuji do a lot of horseplay
Majorly of the time, its Sukuna who wins due to his experience of physical fights having Yuuji in chokehold on getting the television remote controller
Sometimes Yuuji is the one who has Sukuna arm pulled back when Sukuna was holding the remote controller hostage when his favorite horror movie is gonna play.
They love each other a lot and will always protect each other
Sukuna gets super protective over Yuuji because HE IS THE ONLY WHO CAN BULLY HIM! HE IS HIS TWIN! IT'S HIS BIRTHRIGHT!
“WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! I’M THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN BULLY HIM! YOU PIECE OF SHIT!” - ending up beating the boy who attempted to bully Yuuji
Sukuna slips the test answers to his twin when he knows Yuuji sucks at a subject
Sukuna is the brains of strategic attacks while Yuuji is the who throws the punches and bait
They are pain in the ass for each other, but they both agree the only one who is allowed can bully (playfully) each other, are themselves
Both of them will attack each other for the last slice of pizza or dessert
Rest in Peace who ever tries to date any of the two or both of them.

the way of the househusband — levi ackerman
ೃ pairing: (husband! levi ackerman x ceo wifey! reader)
ೃ There is the “ideal” nuclear family. The one composed of a working husband with a well-paying 9 to 5 job, loving housewife who cooks and cleans, and adoring children who do well in school. However, that idealization is looong gone. What about you and your family? You are the CEO of a Tech Start-up Company who ain’t no trophy wife, Your husband hails from the last line of Ackermans and who temporarily resigns from being a vice executive of your company (just because he doesn’t want to work with young, feeling philanthropist, and genius GenZers) to become a hands-on househusband, and then there’s your little daughter who has the most inquisitive mind and adventurous heart who idolizes her doting father in every shape, way, and form. A month’s absence in your home (due to a business trip) could lead to many many things. But, your husband randomly publishing a self-help book on parenting and being a househusband is not one of those things.
ೃ genre and warnings: modern au, domestic fluff, baby au, husband au,
ೃ my nav → my aot masterlist
ೃ 4k words
ೃ Will be referring to hanji as “aunkling” (a cute nickname that some kiddos use to refer to their non-binary relatives <3) because there are no official non-binary terms for aunt and uncle! + your daughter with levi is named amelia and she is just the most precious cinnamon roll
It’s done.
The Business Trip is finally over.
A long and painful month of no hugs and playdates with your little princess, Amelia and no time to be pampered with love and affection from your husband, Levi was finally over!
Sometimes, you wonder how you were even able to survive these long-ass trips and conferences. Sure, these month-long trips only happened once a year, but the thought of Amelia getting older and having to miss a day of seeing her grow up and discover the world, really hurt you as all mothers would. Video Calls were enough to satisfy you and give you happy hormones even for just a short while, but still- the longer you’re not with them, the more the yearning lengthens until you’re just riddled with endless thoughts of wanting to get home as soon as possible.
First, let’s set things straight: You are the CEO of a Tech Start-up company who was born into a middle-class family and rose her way up to success. It’s as cliche as it gets but hey! Living a life as if you were in a romantic comedy was the best compliment you’ve ever gotten.
Along with that, as far as rich families in rom-coms and coming of age movies go, are they all dysfunctional in reality? Not really. Or at least you and Levi promised each other not to end up like that. The Rich Girl meets Poor Boy (with a tragic backstory) cliche however? Yea, that’s a pretty accurate way to describe your love story. Meeting the love of your life in a Coffee Shop is actually pretty common and happens to a lot of people apparently. When Erwin Smith, Levi’s best friend (who is too smart and self-aware to fit the role of a rom-com sidekick by the way) approaches your table to ask if he and Levi could sit with you. (Because of all the days the cafe would be packed, it would be that day.) You said yes of course, and Erwin began oversharing details about the raven-haired man and you were all too invested in learning more about him anyway. Levi grew up in the orphanage after his mother had died and his father was the biggest asshole on the planet for never showing his face, he had to fend for himself after he outgrew the foster system. Starting out as an espionage in an illegal underground gambling empire to a bookkeeper at the Smiths’ bookshop. (Although this is a story for another day)
Internally swooning over his pretty eyes and resting bitch face...it didn’t take long until the two of you fell in love and... the rest was history!
You come home to your lavish yet homey apartment in 21 West End Avenue Manhattan to be surprised by your father-daughter duo absolutely knocked out on the couch. Amelia was snuggled up to her father, her feet on his lap and a sleeping position you could not possibly comprehend, a Disney movie playing in the background, and both of them were wearing matching Minion onesies whilst yours was folded neatly on the coffee table just waiting to be worn by you when you got home.
It was a rare sight to see and you can’t help but just stare lovingly at the wonderful scene before you. Not only was it rare to see Amelia asleep before seeing you (or in the case of your business trips, during your daily video calls with them) but it was also rare to see your husband sleeping so soundly and his insomnia not kicking in.
Amelia hears your footsteps, her eyes are still shut as she tries to predict what you will do next. She finally assesses when she will make her move and surprise you when you place another fleece blanket on top of them and plant a kiss on both of their temples. your daughter’s eyes suddenly flutter open. Her eyes beaming and glowing off the same light that twinkled in her father’s as she jumps off the couch, making sure not to wake up Levi.
“MOMMY!” She screams in the most quiet volume her cute voice could muster. She runs up to you and envelops you in a tight hug, jumping up and down as she does so. “I missed you Mommy! I missed you soooo much! How was sandbox in K-korea!? Was there a lot of sand!? Did you have a lot of pwaymates there!?”
You giggle at your daughter’s enthusiasm, combing your fingers through her hair. “Lili, Sandbox is like the Silicon Valley of Korea. It isn’t necessarily a sandbox like in a playground, baby.”
“OOOH! JUST LIKE SIWICON VAWWEY!” She chirps, tightening her hug and reaching for your hand and squeezing it. “AH WAIT!” She gently pushes you away and makes a beeline to her room. “ME AND DADDY HAVE A SURPRISE FOR YOU! BUT CLOSE YOUR EYES FIRST OWKAAY?!” She calls out from her room and you shout back a “yes!” to her in between your giggles, unable to contain the sudden rush of serotonin your daughter had given you from her simple yet adorable antics.
Another trope that you can debunk is that rich moms can be a hands-on parent too! After your maternity leave ended and when Amelia had finally reached her toddler years, you absolutely made sure that you were going to take care of her every second, minute, hour and day of your life. As soon as she turned two, she became the inquisitive, smart and ever so curious little girl you and Levi had always hoped for. She had your (h/c) hair and Levi’s icy yet warm and loving milky grey eyes. If the color of Levi’s reminded you of dark and stormy clouds, Amelia’s was gleaming. Like that of the clouds after a terrible storm. She was an absolute blessing and although you weren’t a perfect mother, (spoiling her more than you should) Levi was an amazing father. Growing up without parents was tough for him and he was going to make sure that Amelia is going to have an amazing childhood and be surrounded by the love of two parents that he never had and never got to experience.
You always and will forever have trust in Levi. There has never been a day where you doubted him. Despite the impressions and assumptions that people have of him. How he was cold, scary, and even calculating. But, you are always quick to shut down those rumors. They don’t know the Levi Ackerman behind the cold and mighty front he shows. He is a man who has gone through so much and yet has so much love and care to give. How he notices and remembers the littlest details, how he never takes anything for granted and how he loves and cherishes everything so wholeheartedly.
When Amelia turned six, you sadly had to go back to work formally. Right timing too because your genius (with very himbo tendencies) younger cousin, Eren, was about to be part of your start-up company and he had a lot of amazing plans that had to come into fruition. Even bringing in a group of his own friends (who all graduated in MIT by the way!) who are willing to contribute so many amazing ideas and hackathons that were just waiting to happen.
The entrance of these youthful and hopeful genius entrepreneurs also brought about the temporary exit of your very own husband from your very own company. Apparently, working with newly graduated Gen Zers (as a millennial) was too much for him. They were nice and they were going to be a very integral part of the company. But, the boomer inside Levi can’t just can’t keep up with this sudden surge of energy and youthfulness within the higher-ups. It was also a great opportunity for him to take care of Amelia even more. So, you didn’t stop him from doing so!
It’s been a year since he temporarily resigned and became an official-unofficial househusband. Or as your best friend Hanji likes to put it, You are the Girl Boss and he is the Male Wife. Amelia is now 7 years old and she’s currently taking Ballet classes (Levi picks her up during the weekdays, and the both of you pick her up on the weekends) and has developed a hyperfixation over Sanrio Characters and the Disney movie, Frozen. She was growing up to be a wonderful girl and you just can’t wait to hear what she and Levi had done during your absence.
She skips her way back to you, a book tightly clutched in her hands. “SURPRISE!” Amelia gingerly places a book on your hand. You open your eyes and tilt your head in question at the piece of literature she had just given you as you read the title aloud. “The Way of the House Husband… written by Levi Ackerman.” Your eyes shift to a little circle on the lower side of the cover, “The husband of (Y/N) Ackerman, the CEO of Survey Corp Tech…!?”
“Daddy and I made a book while you were away!” She claps her hands together and grabs the book back from you, turning it to the first page. “See there’s even a dedication! To (Y/N) and Amelia! The two brightest stars in my galaxy!”
“Oh that’s too cheesy. No way would your dad write something like this out of the blue, Lili.” You scoff, shaking your head in disbelief. Your daughter looks at you with downcast eyes while you were still trying to process that your husband literally just wrote a whole-ass book while you were away. “Who helped publish this so quickly, Amelia?”
“Uncle Erwin of course!” She’s frowning for one second and now she’s beaming at you again. “Please please read it mommy! Me and daddy worked really really hard on it!” She taps the hardbound cover of the book in rhythms. “This is the Amelia Edition! Daddy said he cut out some stuff so that it would be okay for me to read and for me to give to you once you get home! It’s my come back home gift for you mommy!” She moves the book to your lap and hops up next to you on the loveseat that you were sitting on. Before you know it, Amelia is resting her head on your shoulder and coaxing you to start reading to her like it was a bedtime story.
You clear your throat and hold her by the waist so that she can feel more secure in her seat. “Okay… okay… let’s begin shall we? In a kingdom far far away…”
“That’s not how the book is like mommy! Read it properly like the way daddy did!”
“I was just joking, honey. Let’s get started. Rule #1 of the House Husband is…”
Rule #1: Fathers, be good to your children. You are the weight of their world.
“One thing I learned as soon as I was at home practically 24/7 is that your child will be more cautious and weary of you. They will observe you because they look up to you. They will watch your every move, follow you around, and will imitate whatever you say and whatever they hear from you. Talk to them, teach them things they need to know, support them in their hobbies, interests, and even if you have to be the extra princess in her tea party, do it. The thing is, you will leave an eternal mark on the hearts of your children.”
Amelia got even more closer to Levi when he was finally stationed at home. Always grinning from ear to ear and boasting to her classmates how cool her dad was whenever he would pick her up from school. She was proud to tell them Levi’s heritage even if Amelia never got to meet her Grandma Ackerman and Grandpa Ackerman. When Levi would take her out for errands, may they be groceries, cleaning the house, baking, cooking, laundry, or just going on his morning jog, Amelia would be there to accompany him. In fact, she’s gone shopping with Levi so many times that she has memorized the brand names of cleaning detergent and bleach before she could even memorize the multiplication table.
She’s even caught up with her father’s cynical sense of humor. And because of that, Levi had to tone down on his sardonic jokes around the little girl. Levi wasn’t necessarily physically affectionate but he does soften around Amelia as the little girl never fails to supply him with endless hugs and kisses on the cheek. She may be both a Mommy’s and Daddy’s girl, but the way she looks up to Levi is the kind of father-daughter bond that you hardly see in real life. She aspires to be like him. Even if there were times where she would be scolded by you both, (most especially Levi) she never took that against you. She sees all the good and positive sides of your husband that others outside of your circle fail to see.
Rule #2: Let your children know that they have other “guardian angels” who they can rely on aside from their parents.
“My daughter has both my wife and I’s best friends to learn from or to look up to. Her kooky aunkling and her blunt uncle have become one of the most precious people in her life. Even the young ins working at Survey Corp Tech have become older siblings to her and get along with her so well. Remember that there will always be close relatives or friends who can and will help them when they lose their way. Let them spread sunshine and love to others.”
Whether it’s a regular trip to Coney Island or your monthly trips to Disneyland, Hanji or Erwin would totally tag along. Amelia absolutely loves and vibes with Hanji’s quirkiness so well. They would wear matching Mickey Mouse ears, ride the kiddie roller coaster that Amelia wanted to ride on a million times per visit, buy her all the ice cream and treats she wants (despite Levi’s warnings and the reprimanding that Hanji has to suffer from the both of you right after.) They just want Amelia to experience all the fun, the joy, and innocence of living in the moment. As a kid, it’s better if she sees how precious life is, how she should cherish it and that she doesn’t have to grow up so fast just yet.
Erwin on the other hand, brought out Amelia’s intellectual side more. As soon as a new and critically acclaimed children’s book hit the shelves, you bet Amelia has a copy right away. Whenever Levi would take her to Erwin’s bookstore, she wanders around like it’s this huge mysterious archive that can only be accessed by her. The Adults section is forbidden, so were the cheap romance novels in the back, and the books written by youtubers. God forbid she read those. When her Uncle Erwin got her into reading Roald Dahl’s children’s books, you had to watch Amelia run around the penthouse with a little red ribbon tied on top of her hair, wanting to be referred to as Matilda, along with you and Levi having to pretend that she had telekinetic powers for 6 months straight. It was her cutest phase yet and you just know there were many more to come.
There were also Eren and his friends who loved Amelia dearly whenever she came over to visit. Your little cousin refused to be called Uncle Eren and instead wanted to be called big bro, and in which Amelia happily complied. Whenever it was Amelia’s weekly “Visit Mommy at Work” day, she had her own room in your office where Eren and your other young associates would babysit her. In fact, they would actually take turns in babysitting at your condo whenever you and Levi went out for date night. Amelia was introduced to playing video games like Animal Crossing and Pokemon solely because of them (more specifically because of big bro Jean, big sis Sasha, and big bro connie.) They even ended up influencing her to watch anime when her big brother “Minmin” and big sis “Mimi” accidentally left the TV on and Amelia literally binge-watched half of the existing Studio Ghibli movies to this date.
Rule #3: Your children will think that you are Superman or Iron Man. Make sure to act like them and never let them down by ruining their innocence and imagination.”
(A little note was attached to this page: Please don’t let Amelia read this. Read her a fairy tale instead while skimming through this.)
“It all started when my daughter found an entire encyclopedia on ancient and legendary family clans around the world. The Ackerman clan was on the very first page after the intro and she read through all 50 pages of it. The look of awe on her face when she read that her dad’s ancestors exhibit physical abilities much higher than the average human. In a 7 year old’s mind and vocabulary, that automatically translates to a superhero akin to that of Superman.
Ever since then, My daughter has forced me to become more creative with doing very mundane tasks and chores. I pretend to have superpowers. Such as teleporting around the house whilst cleaning. I tell her to close her eyes or else my teleportation powers won’t work. Then when I cook in the kitchen and she watches me intently, I tell her that the salt and pepper have magical properties that only I can touch and hold because to her, at that moment, I was “Doctor Stwange.”
and one time, when I picked her up from school, she was babbling on about how she told her friends and playmates that she had two superhero parents she was very proud of. Then one of the other kids asked if I was a strong soldier who killed huge humanoid monsters using sharp blades. To which I replied that could have possibly happened in a different universe. Her hearty laughs and giggles whenever she sees me using my superpowers makes me anxious over the fact I have to tell her someday that my powers never existed.”
Whilst you were on your monthly trip, you and Levi would have private video calls whenever Amelia was finally put to bed. There, he told you about what happened in Amelia’s ballet classes that week and how the single mothers were more persistent than usual.
They could clearly see that Levi was not interested but apparently the fact that your husband waving his ring finger every single time someone approached him wasn’t obvious enough, apparently the fact that he was married made the risk even more worth it to these prying moms who had nothing better to do. It wasn’t until Amelia had enough and respectfully called them out by saying that his dad was married and he was never going to be interested in Karens (a slang word that she learned from Eren and friends) Since then, the invasion of parent to parent boundaries had finally stopped. Levi was very relieved and at ease whilst telling you the story yet you were laughing your heart out at the ingenious remarks of your very own daughter on top of the irresistible charm and looks of your own husband that made single mothers be damned.
Rule #4: The most important rule of all: Love your spouse as you want your children to be loved in the future.
“Since my wife is on a business trip right now as I type this and she may or may not know that I had written this book for her to read when she comes home, my daughter came up to me a few days ago and told me how she missed her mom so much. The video calls we had every night were not enough to satisfy her for the remaining days her mother would be gone. She then proceeds to tell me that she loves the way I love (Y/N). My daughter loved how patient I was and how I supported her through every endeavor that her mother had ever thought up with that brilliant mind of hers. She mentioned how I was there for her through every success and failure, through hardships, difficulties and misunderstandings. My daughter was happy because I stuck with her mother through everything. All the pain, suffering, conflicts that we both experienced individually and as husband and wife. Little ears and little eyes are watching and observing the actions and sweet gestures of their parents. Make sure to remember that.”
“What is gravy (grief) if not love persevewing?” (persevering) My daughter had even recounted a quote from the Disney Marvel show, WandaVision just to prove a point to me. That was when I realized something and decided to list down a few things:
1. The best lovers are the best of friends.
Levi’s relationship with you was rocky at first simply because the two of you didn’t have a lot in common. Your personalities clashed and the two of you could barely make things work in the beginning. He was always well-dressed, on time, and was very prim and proper. However, Levi was cold, strict, and unapproachable. You on the other-hand were quite the opposite. You used to arrive late, didn’t care too much about your style as long as you wore the appropriate outfit, but you were carefree, laidback and friendly. Having to set aside your differences was a process that required sacrifice, time, and effort. It took long and a lot of petty arguments before the two of you fully understood each other, accepted each other's faults and quirks, and became even closer. Both as friends and lovers. You and Levi treat each other not as just the “person I love and I’m married to for the rest of my life”, but also as a best friend for life. Soulmates
2. Their dreams are just as important as yours.
Levi’s dream was to open up a tea shop and start a family with you. That was all he ever wanted. The blissful simplicity of his in comparison to your techy and out of this world ambitions, goes to show how much they weigh as aspirations and wants in life. You have to value your significant other’s dreams and ambitions just as much as you highly value yours. No matter how hard or how simple they are, the both of you can achieve it with the help of each other. The only thing left in your agenda was to open up his long-awaited Tea Shop. You were about to surprise him with the plans of opening one up on the day of his birthday, and you just can’t wait for that day to finally come.
3. You have to let them be free.
Levi absolutely knew what he was getting into when he met you. It was love at first sight when he met you, He drunkenly admitted that one time when he’s had too much champagne on your friday date night. He knew that you were an adventurer. A wandering soul who had a goal and a purpose set in stone. He always knew you were going to reach greater heights and he knew that you would never leave him behind and would always have him go on a ride. He’s always known about your capabilities and your potential and he didn’t want you to stray away from that. And, if the time were to come that you had to leave him behind to soar greater heights, he’d understand that. He’d always let you be free and make sure you don’t fly too close to the sun. That was just how selfless Levi is. The thing is, he knows you would do the same for him. It was a perfect balance.
4. It is an honor to love and to be loved by them.
To be wrapped in the arms of someone who feels like home or has become the definition of home, To be stargazing with on a chilly summer night in where you talk about your future and your plans, To be sharing a cup of coffee or tea with in the morning and begrudgingly dancing with you against his will, To be watching your child playing in her room and do nothing but look adoringly at the most precious soul to have ever been produced by your encompassing love, and to be spending the rest of your life with someone who has done nothing but be with you through every pivotal moment in your life was such an honor.
It is an honor to be loved by Levi, as he is honored to be loved by you.
“...The end.” You close the book with a deep but contented sigh. Tears were welling up in your eyes and you’re trying your best not to break down in front of Amelia.
“Mommy… are you crying?” She tilts her head in inquiry. “Is it because you’re tired from work?”
“No. baby. These are happy tears, Lili. Don’t worry.”
Before you could speak up once more, you notice Levi had slowly sprung up from the couch, and began to stretch his arms. His eyes widen when he sees you from the opposite couch. “(Y/N)... you were supposed to arrive at 6 AM right? Amelia and I were supposed to pick you-”
Amelia opens her mouth to speak as she jumps down from the couch and crawls up to sit next to Levi. “Daddy! I showed Mommy the book you wrote! She loved it! Right, Mommy?”
“You did?” Your husband perks up from his seat, clearing his throat. “T-that’s not the entire book yet by the way. We had to give back the original copies to Erwin for reprinting. The self-help book is currently rising up the charts to be a New York Times Best Seller.”
Before Levi could properly react, you move to the free space on the couch next to him. Holding his hand and gazing into his forlorn yet loving eyes, you muttered. “Love, that’s amazing. I’m really really proud of you. Next time though, please do tell me that you’ve written a self-help book and dethroned all those mommy authors from the bestselling charts.”
Levi stifles a laugh, stroking your thumb and bringing you and Amelia closer to him for warmth. “I will. I will.”
Amelia looks up at the two of you, squeezing out of the sandwich, so that you and Levi can have your quality time with each other. “Goodnight Mom! Goodnight Dad!” She approaches the two of you so that she can be given her nightly kiss on the cheek as she retreats to her room.
“What if I write a novel too?” You joke, snuggling up to Levi, your husband wrapping his arm around you. “The title could be… The way of the Wife boss?”
“That could be a good sequel. A shared book universe. Then, Amelia could continue the collection when we’re old and sour as hell.” Levi mused.
“Pfft. I guess only time will tell. I love you Levi.”
“I love you too (Y/N).”

part one || part three
The bright pop music that is blaring from the speakers does little to slow your animated talking. Bodies are packed into the small local bar, and students on summer break fill booths and form a snake of impatient, drunk (and horny) people. A slow trickle of the brazen has started to fill the dance floor as the evening morphs into the night.
You whip your hair into a ponytail and dab at the sweat that is beading your forehead. You definitely should have worn that sleeveless top rather than this thicker t-shirt dress.
“So, is he like your sugar daddy or something?” Taehyung asks, “Also drink.”
Friday nights were usually spent at home, snuggled under the blankets in your pjs binging another rewatch of Friends. After work today, you could no longer hold onto your secret and invited Taehyung out for drinks. His girlfriend, Fei, was supposed to join but had been held back for overtime.
You tip the shot back with no chase.
“You’re a monster,” he comments as he bites into his lemon piece.
The two of you had made a bet at the beginning of the evening: you each chose a pop song and each time it played, the nominee had to take a shot. That was your fourth of the night, and to say there was a bit of a buzz is an understatement.
“It’s all throat technique, Tae,” you say with a bit of a slur, “Hit the back and swallow. No innuendo intended. Also, why the hell haven’t you had any to drink?”
“You picked ‘Peaches’ for fuck’s sake.”
“I told you I don’t listen to pop music. It was the first one playing.”
“And shouldn’t that have told you something? Justin Bieber of all people?”
“Shut up. It’s your song.” You nod at the pink-faced barista for another round. She slaps your order in front of the two of you without so much a glance.
You don’t even know what song is playing, but you feel quite satisfied watching Taehyung make a face as he downs it in one go.
He clears his throat after the liquor has burned its way down to his stomach. “Back to my question: is he your sugar daddy?”
You bark out a laugh. Was he? Perhaps the fact that he paid for fancy meals at lunch? Those have been his one o’clock meetings for the past two months.
“I don’t know. I’d rather he buy me a car or pay my rent if anything. A casual 1k a week wouldn’t be so bad either. We just sit in his office and eat in secret, Tae. He’s ‘training me in the art of culinary cuisine’. I think it’s just so I don’t embarrass him by stuffing a shrimp cocktail up my nose.”
“You do know – ”
“Yes, I know. And I would never. It’s a metaphor. It’s just that the position ‘intern’ is quite loosely defined at DailyHive, don’t you think?”
Taehyung rinses his mouth with water before speaking. “So let me get this right. Mr. Kim calls you into his office, says he’s going to take you as his guest to the biggest tech event of the year, treats you to lunches and doesn’t ask for anything in return? No secret midnight meetups or shady business deals…”
You shake your head.
“Damn,” Taehyung says, resting his arm on the bar table, “Forget sugar daddy. He’s just daddy.”
Sticking your tongue out, you gag visibly at his comment. “Do not ever call him that again, Tae; ev-er.”
He laughs and watches you pensively. After a moment’s thought, he says, “Nobody has ever called me Tae.”
“What do they call you then?” you reply, wrinkling your brows together. A cute brunette across the room catches your eyes and for the briefest of seconds, you wonder what a one-night-stand would feel like.
He shrugs. “Just Taehyung.”
The brunette waves in your direction. You are about to return his wave when an equally cute brunette runs up to him. He promptly kisses her before swivelling her around to join his group of friends.
“Sorry. Do you want me to stop? I just assumed since we were out of the office…”
Oh Fate, how cruel you are. Life of twenty cats and solidarity, here you come. Maybe dogs. You feel like you could be more of a dog person.
“No,” he stops you, “You can call me Tae. Whatever you want.”
You turn your attention back on the also cute brunette in front of you. In all honestly, despite his youthful god-like countenance, he looks slightly out of place at this college bar with you in his upstanding business attire and dorkishly adorable thick-framed glasses.
“Sure. How about Tee-Tee? Or Hyungie? The TaeMan?” You wiggle your brows with the suggestion.
“God help me.”
The two of you clink your shot glasses together even though neither of your songs are being played.
His Apple watch lights up to indicate an incoming message. He relays the text to you, “Fei’s done work. She’s on her way now.” You can’t help but notice a shift in his previously excited demeanor.
You nudge him with your elbow. “Aren’t you excited? She’ll need a glass of wine or two to destress after work. I might be projecting onto you for this part, but you’re buzzed. So after we get her to unwind I’m sure the overwhelming power of pheromones will get you lucky tonight.” You wink at him to emphasize your point.
“She’s not a big drinker. She’s probably just going to come and ask to leave in five minutes. Bars like this aren’t really her thing either,” he states. He then unbuckles his watch and tucks it away into the pocket of his pants. Undoing the cuffs of his shirt, he rolls up the sleeves and continues to regard you solemnly. “Okay, next round is one me. Are you absolutely sure you don’t want to switch songs?”
You notice how nice, long, and slender his fingers are. Plus the thing of girls liking when men have visible veins on their forearm? That had never really caught your attention until now.
“She’s a bit of a bitch,” you say and immediately regret, “Shit, sorry. That just slipped out. Alcohol.”
He offers you his water to drink.
“I mean, she’s a little…uptight at times? But people can be completely different in and out of work. I can only imagine how stressful it is in her position. Working overtime until 9pm on a Saturday night seriously sucks,” you say to try and mend your wrongdoing.
“Fei in the office is basically Fei at home,” he says softly, “It’s always work with her.”
“We support career-driven women, yeah?” A smile is offered from you to him.
He finally lets out a small one and nods. Out of the blue, he reaches over and covers your hand with his. Staring intently into your eyes, he says, “I know she makes you do her reports and occupies your time to do her coffee runs as well. You can say no to her. She may be my girlfriend, but you’re technically my intern, and I will stand on your side no matter what.”
“Um, okay. Thanks, Tae,” you say. His sincerity has caught you off guard.
At that moment, the sound of clicking heels pierce its way into your eardrums through the noise of the even busier bar. Taehyung quickly retracts his hand.
Fei arrives, not a hair out of place in her tightly pulled bun. Her lips are painted a striking red against the paleness of her skin, and her manicured nails dig into the forearm of Taehyung when she reaches them. Even though she is wearing an otherwise drab office business suit, the curvature of her body draws quite a few glances from the younger men in the crowd.
“It’s like a zoo here,” she sneers, turning away from a sacrificial lamb who had been bold enough step out of his circle of friends to greet her with a sleezy “hey”.
“Hi, Fei. Busy night?” you greet her first.
She gives you a tight-lipped smile. “Yes. I don’t know why you weren’t there. Isn’t it the intern’s job to complete reports?”
Again, a loosely defined use of “intern” at DailyHive.
You return her smile with a crisp one of your own.
She turns away from you and regards Taehyung, who looks as if he had been the sacrificial lamb instead. “Teddybear, let’s go home. You know this type of place isn’t my vibe. I’m getting a headache already.”
You raise an eyebrow at his pet name.
He turns a little bit pinker, if that is possible under the current alcohol-induced glow of his cheeks, and says, “Um, sure. Y/N, are you going to be okay getting home?”
Waving him off, you show him your phone. “30% left. I’ve got pepper spray in my bag and enough booze in me to not run from a fight. I’ll call an Uber home soon, don’t worry.”
Fei has already begun to fight her way through the squirming, dancing bodies. Taehyung glances quickly at her and turns back to you once last time. “Text me that you’re home safe.”
“Will do, boss,” you smile at him warmly.
He lingers for just a moment more before running after his impatiently waiting girlfriend.
You turn back to the bar and order another beer for yourself. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is perhaps the biggest perk of being single.
...
On the opposite side of town, sinking deeply into a soft lounge chair is Seokjin enjoying a rare evening out with his best friend. He has swapped his usual attire for a more relaxed fit of a white oversized crewneck and techwear bottoms. A heavy, exorbitant fur-lined long leather coat hangs on the coat rack beside the door to their private VVIP room. He swirls his glass of Chateau Lafite before sipping delicately.
Outside, only a handful of patrons sit quietly engrossed in their own conversations. It is a relatively empty night at the high-end lounge. A lady sings sultrily on stage with the smooth background of a saxophone as accompaniment.
Junho has poured himself another glass while he is talking to Seokjin. Seokjin had since slightly tuned out his friend’s rather elongated rendition of another celebrity sighting to occupy his mind with another individual.
“Earth to Jin? When did you get so lightweight since I’ve been gone?” Junho waves a hand in front of Seokjin’s nose.
Seokjin blinks to refocus.
“The mansion I bought last year or the one I bought last month?” he reiterates. Sensing that Seokjin truly had no idea what the topic at hand had been, he tries again.
“Where should I do my birthday party this year, man? I thought the mansion from last year since it’s closer to the city, but I feel like it’s been reused too many times. It’s not completely furnished yet, but the property I got last month is significantly bigger and I can probably host more people.”
“The new place then,” Seokjin answers half-heartedly.
Junho grumbles something intelligible.
“What did you say?”
“Nothing,” Junho sighs, “Tell me what’s new with you. How’s that little project of yours going? I still can’t believe you won’t let me know who you’re planning to take to the Gala.”
Seokjin had refused to release even the slightest detail about you to Junho. Letting him know that Seokjin had agreed to one of his plans would be enough to inflate Junho’s ego for at least a little while.
“It’s been going...”
Junho waits for more of Seokjin’s answer, but his friend’s attention has been turned to a received text.
10:17pm “Safe and sound, Teddy Bear.”
10:17pm “Or should I say Taeddybear? 🥴”
10:18pm “That last beer done me rael godo.”
10:18pm “Real good**”
Seokjin raises a brow at the unknown number. He responds back.
10:18pm “Who is this? I think you’ve got the wrong number.”
Junho crosses his legs and sits back with a sigh. He presses the button to request for an attendant.
10:19pm “You know who… Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you for saying you’ve got my back. It’s definitely appreciated.”
The response doesn’t do much except to further pique Seokjin’s curiosity.
“Sorry,” he says, sliding his phone back into his pocket, “Rogue text I think.”
Junho shrugs. “Is that right? Seems to have caught your attention.” There is now a manner of indifference to his voice.
“It’s going well, by the way – answering your question. I mean, all things considered. It’s not like I have to teach her how not to stuff a cocktail shrimp up your nose.”
His friend snorts. “I’d be concerned and against this person if it’s who you’re planning to bring.”
Seokjin’s phone buzzes again.
10:21pm “Pray for me when I wake up with the worst hangover of my life. I’m going to bed now.”
A moment of silence.
10:21pm “I hope I didn’t piss off Fei tonight for stealing you for the evening.”
10:22pm “Okay I’ll shut up now. Please don’t tell me you’re reading this. You should be getting some 😼💦.”
The emoji makes Seokjin choke, liquid sputtering from his lips.
Junho cusses. He angrily dabs at the speckle of red wine that has landed on his pearly white top.
10:23pm Download attached image. “Just in case, here’s a little something to get the night started 😉”
“What the hell man?” Junho gets up and makes his way to the bathroom. Luckily, the previously called attendant had arrived in time to escort him.
Seokjin barely notices that he is alone in room as he taps the download button. It isn’t until he has returned home and is looking at the picture one last time before bed that he realizes who his mysterious texter is.
The employee nametag clipped to the collar of your workday shirt hanging on the arm of a chair can only be found when zoomed in past your painted toes and naked feet.
...
You cannot hide your nervousness when you arrive at your “lunch meeting” the following Monday morning. All weekend, you had cursed yourself for not better checking who the recipient of your texts were before pressing send. Never had you thought that in your drunken stupor you would mix up “The Devil” in your contact list with “Taehyung Kim.” Curse you and your lack of friends beginning with the letter “T”.
You balk before, a hand poised in perfect position for a knock. Maybe he didn’t download it? And even if he did, it was just a troll feet pic. You had made sure that it was as pg-13 as possible before you had sent it.
“Hi,” you greet sheepishly when he has given you the go to enter.
In a smart plain blue button-up and round frames that are almost certainly for the aesthetics, the CEO of the company and your boss sizes you up and down.
“I know we’ve gotten to know each other better these past few weeks. But you’d think it’s still common courtesy to at least make eye contact,” he says. You look at him wide eyed without a word.
He rolls his eyes but does not gesture to your usual seat. In fact, you don’t spy a take-out container in sight. He instead stands up and picks up his phone, walking to the door. He notices you have yet to move.
“Let’s get moving. You’ve only got a 45 minute lunch.”
You scramble to match his speed and catch Taehyung’s eye as you grab your jacket at your desk. Taehyung’s gaze follows you as you hurry to leave in pursuit of Seokjin’s coattail.
...
The restaurant is a popular vegan establishment with a plethora of greenery crawling up its high ceilings and a window-framed overview of the city’s skyline. Waiters and waitresses who may just as well be walking New York Fashion Week serve you brunch mimosas on a golden plate; they attentively wait to the side in case you ever run out of water.
Common topics are rare between the two of you. Initially, you respectfully kept quiet and only answered questions when asked, but you have never been one for awkward silence. Yes, it’s awkward only if you make it awkward; there is just no denying the hanging suspense that curls your toes each time. Recently, you have started with simple inquiries regarding the company, who they might meet at the Gala and everyday mundane topics.
“You’re probably wondering why we’re out of the office,” Seokjin says. He continues shortly after taking a bite of his meal and ignores the look of your surprise at his initiation of a conversation. “My office has been getting stuffy with the warmer weather so I thought it’d be nice to get some fresh air. How’s the food?”
You nod, making small sounds of contentment as you chew on the Avocado Lime Tartare. Mmm… tart-y.
He takes a deep breath in, stalling the incoming conversation. “It’s my friend’s birthday this next weekend.”
“Oh,” you say, “Happy early birthday to him.”
“He’s my best friend.”
“Well… An extra happy early birthday to him.”
A sigh. “Are you free next weekend?”
Your chewing comes to a halt and you blink once at his question. Next weekend is the weekend before the Silver Gala. It is also the sole weekend before your birthday the following Friday after the Gala. You had hoped to spend it with Taehyung and maybe even Jimin who had promised to be in town on a long overdue vacation despite your chastising to visit your parents first.
He senses your trepidation. Quickly, he explains himself,
“He’s having a birthday party Saturday night. He has a place about an hour north of here. I can have somebody pick you up if that’s more convenient. I don’t have a birthday present for him and thought it’d be nice for you to meet him.”
“You’re giving him me for a present?” you ask, incredulously.
He bites his tongue. He never anticipated how awkward this conversation could go.
“You’re going as my plus one. He really wants to meet you; in fact, he insisted that you be there. He’ll be at the gala too. I have something else planned for his birthday present,” he adds hastily, “Besides, you’re less than qualified as a present.”
Musing silently to yourself, you wonder if in any situation should a human be qualified as a present. Despite that, you hate yourself as you agree on the spot.
The rest of the lunch passes by quickly in dull silence. As Seokjin pays for the meal on the company card (and hands you the receipt for reimbursement), you note that there has been no comment made on any strange photos texted to him over the weekend.
Perhaps being nonchalantly implied as a human birthday gift to a stranger is your karma for sending weird texts to your boss.
Seokjin stays inside the car as he drops you off at the office after lunch, already preparing for his next business meeting. You nod your goodbye and step onto the pavement through the courteously held open door of the limousine.
“Y/N, try a soft pink. Fuchsia is not your colour,” he tells you as the door is closed.
He then leaves you standing in front of the large office doors, staring at your chipped, week-old purple toenails.
...
“I’m not exactly expecting a package in the mail or a dress laid out on the hotel bed – ”
“You guys are staying at a hotel?” Taehyung says over the phone.
You are standing in your bedroom, an hour before when Seokjin is supposed to pick you up as an offering to his best friend. There are two dresses laid out on your Hello Kitty bed covers: a simple black dress you had worn once when you were a little bit more in shape and your prom dress.
“No, I’m at home. But I mean, let me play into this movie metaphor.”
“You suck at metaphors.”
You have your phone propped up on some pillows so that you can see Taehyung as you debate your fashion decision. He is in a relaxed white tee, hair messily framing his face after a shower and a bowl of popcorn in his hands. You watch as a droplet of water runs down his face from his still-wet hair. He nonchalantly licks it off from the side of his mouth.
“As I was saying, it wouldn’t hurt to get me something. He made it seem like it was a big deal. Like doesn’t the male lead usually surprise the female lead with a big bouquet of flowers and this over-the-top expensive dress which she wears and makes the male lead fall head over heels in love with her?”
He chews silently on a kernel then probes, “You want Mr. Kim to fall in love with you?”
“No,” you hastily correct, “It’s a metaphor. I think you’re the one who sucks at metaphors.”
There is a beep on your phone to indicate you have another incoming call.
“Tae, I’m going to have to call you back. My brother’s calling me,” you tell him. The black dress; your old prom dress is way too early 2000s. Black never hurts.
“Okay. Have fun tonight. Pretend that it’s your birthday party. And then I’ll meet you for brunch tomorrow, my treat? You can tell me all about it,” he says. “Also the black. You look cute in that one.”
“My party if I was 30, rich and successful. Oh wait, I’ll have one thing in common soon; that’s a start. Thanks though. I’ll call you tomorrow morning once I get up,” you say, then switch the call over to your brother. You had missed the flush of his cheeks as you busily swipe your phone.
Sticking the prom dress back into your closet, you rummage around the meager display of shoeboxes for a pair of high heels.
“Hey, Jimin,” you greet over the phone.
“Jesus, I do not need to be accosted by my half-naked sister,” he yells over the phone.
You turn rapidly, seeing that you had accidentally continued a video call from when you had hung up on Taehyung. You throw a pillow over the camera in your haste to cover yourself up.
“I was going to ask why you’re dressed like that but on second thought, I think I’ll leave your sexual exploits as your own secret.”
Despite how disturbed you feel about this comment, his cheerful voice makes you smile.
“So little sis, the weekend before the big three-oh!”
“Please stop reminding me.”
“Where do you want to meet tonight? I just got off the plane, but I can be ready to meet in about an hour. I booked a hotel close to the airport.”
Shit. You forgot to tell Jimin. These heels will have to do.
“Um… I, uh…”
“What?”
You clear your throat and begin to undress in front of the mirror. You have a sudden conscious thought that the dusty treadmill in your living room seems to be staring daggers at your back.
“I’ve got plans tonight.”
“Plans? I wasn’t even aware you had friends here.”
“Ouch, Jimin. But yes, I have friends. In fact, I am meeting a friend for brunch tomorrow if you want to join. I’m sure he’ll be okay with it.”
“He?” Jimin repeats, “Should I put on my big brother boxing gloves? Give him a good talking to in case he’s interested in my baby sister?” Pause. “Was that who you were calling before?”
You bite your answer back, not feeling the need to go down that rabbit hole.
“He’s just a friend; A co-worker really,” you say, “He’s also unavailable. And before you suggest anything, his goalkeeper is technically one of my bosses so I do not want to try and shoot past her thank you very much.”
Jimin laughs. “I wasn’t going to suggest anything. Well if you’re busy tonight, tomorrow morning works for me. Give me a call. I’ll spend the night in watching some good ol’ Netflix and enjoy this vacation time.”
“Sorry again,” you apologize.
“Go out and have fun,” he says, “You deserve it.”
The two of you finish off the call with the usual goodbyes. You have forty-five minutes to dress the part of a sparkly birthday surprise for the co-founder of the company you work for. Throwing on your favourite throwback music, you get to work.
Once satisfied, you snap a picture and sending it to Taehyung making special care that you have picked the right individual this time.
...
The mansion is bigger than you could have ever imagined, and the amount of people present are…
“You’re telling me I can do whatever I want tonight,” you ask Seokjin in the car.
There is no denying that Seokjin knows how to dress for an event. In a velvety black and white suit, contrasted by his blonde hair which he has elected to temporarily dye for the evening, he looks very much the posh CEO magazines brand him out to be. You are glad you elected for the simple black dress as standing beside this Renaissance statue in a floral pastel yellow dress would be like planting dandelions in Kanye’s sculpture garden (if he ever wanted one).
“The majority of people won’t recognize you after tonight. They’ll also be too drunk to even register anything you tell them,” Seokjin says.
He cannot believe that you chose a simple black dress. Did you really not own anything remotely feminine besides the most generic clubbing outfit? Even if you had wanted to make an appearance as a hooker, at least make it an expensive-looking one. Maybe he should have bought you that Versace dress he spotted in the window the other day. Instead…
“Take this. Your earrings are too gaudy for this event.”
You touch the sparkly black cats you have put into your ears. Their eyes are made of crystal, and you thought it looked quite fetching in the light. Opening up the box, you see a dainty elegant pair of teardrop earrings that may or may not be of real diamonds.
“Only Junho will know who you really are and then you can enjoy the rest of your night. I don’t want you to feel like you’re being held here against your will.”
Putting them on, you note that even this simple change in attire has elevated the entirety of your presence. You felt as luxurious as this gift.
“Thanks, Seokjin,” you try the first name basis he had insisted upon for this evening, “Not going to lie, I had imagined that maybe you’d send me a dress in the mail or something, but this is still very nice.”
He snorts and rolls his eyes. “Like in the movies? Please, I run a start-up company. I’m not a millionaire and I don’t think you would appreciate my handouts.”
You don’t respond, making your second note of the night on the Prada label on the cuff of his suit. “To clarify, I don’t introduce myself as your plus-one tonight.”
“No. I don’t want you associated with me,” he curtly states. He watches as your smirk twitches and he hits himself mentally in the head again. “It’s to protect you. There are bound to be tons of paparazzi tonight at a party as big as this. I don’t want you to find yourself in the tabloids tomorrow morning. Just be smart.”
The car pulls to a stop after inching its way up to the front door. People mill about outside in extravagant brands, holding glasses of champagne. The man of the hour is somewhere inside the building, charming his way into new business deals as well as making new friends.
“Stay close to me. You can leave after we meet Junho. It is his birthday after all,” Seokjin offers a hand as you step out of the car.
You take it, looping yourself into him so that your hand rests on his forearm. You are only 13 days younger than Junho, and yet this striking contrast in lifestyle hits you like a landslide while the two of you walk up the stairs and into the mansion.
Inside, it is dim with disco lights flashing to the beat of amped party music. Upon entrance, the two of you are offered glasses of liquor (you take a swirling iridescent drink) to which you are then ushered to where the birthday boy lounges.
Junho has an even more youthful face than Seokjin does. Where Seokjin’s features exude class and charm, Junho appears mischievous and looks to have stepped out of every girl’s bad boy dream.
You stop Seokjin with a tug and make him look at you. “Tell me: do I look like a passable birthday offering?”
Seokjin rolls his eyes and pulls you along with him.
“Jin!” Junho hollers loudly across the room when spotting his oldest friend. There is a doll-like female magnetized to his side. “This is Clara, my date for the evening.”
Seokjin shakes her hand and greets them. The female cannot seem to pry her eyes away from this handsome new stranger. He introduces himself chivalrously to her as Junho sides up to you and grips your hands in his. His breath smells strongly of mixed drinks, and you know that in about fifteen minutes the entire night will be a blur for him.
“You must be Y/N!” he says excitedly, “Jin didn’t tell me that you were coming! What a surprise!”
“I am,” you greet back with a large smile. “Although I’m also surprised. Seokjin told me that you had insisted I came.”
Seokjin grits his teeth, annoyed at Junho. Would he ever learn when to keep his big mouth closed?
Laughing loudly, Junho grabs two drinks just as a waiter passes by and hands them to you. “Insist might be a strong word,” he says, drilling another hole unknowingly, “I honestly thought I’d have to play part-time wingman tonight. But I’m glad he’s got someone by his side.” He jabs you a little too hard in the ribs. “Next week’s gala is going to be fun! Okay, now there’s only one rule tonight: there are no rules!”
The four of you clink your glasses together, while you do your best to hide an embarrassed smile on behalf of the birthday boy.
“You bet I’m going around as your trophy wife tonight,” you whisper in Seokjin’s ear when Junho looks away.
He whirls around to look at you, the tip of both your noses impossibly close together. He can taste the acidity of the wine when you breath out with a wicked smile. He barely has time to stop you as you peel yourself away to mingle with the crowds.
Seokjin is about to follow you but Junho pulls him away, flamboyantly introducing his handsome best friend to a group of international models. He turns on his brightest smile, but his heart thunders in his chest at you calling yourself his wife.
...
You twirl around in your dress, nobody noticing the small splash of champagne on the front of it in the quickly changing lights.
“He bought this for me last week. Says it reminds him of the first night we met. Our eyes met across the waters in Tuscany where he was on a business trip. I’ll let you on a little secret, but I was his mistress for a little while.”
Seokjin cannot make out the words you are saying to a small but growing group of people around you. He stands across from Junho, but looks over the latter’s shoulders to watch as you do another spin.
“A little while, Charlotte? Are you still his mistress?” an older lady with an exuberant amount of jewels hanging off her body whispers with a keen interest in your expertly spun story.
Charlotte Dior Laurent, an identity you are pretty sure is an amalgamation of French brands from the top of your mind. You continue to personify this character however.
“Don’t worry. He’s left her since. I know I know, my friends all say the same. ‘He’s already been divorced three times. How can you be sure he won’t leave you?’”
At this point, you are in way over your head at having told this story to at least two other groups and a multitude of other renditions to whomever you have met tonight. But there is something powerful about liquid courage as it courses through your body.
The lady lays a hand on your arm. “I don’t want your heart to break. You are still young.”
Looking up between the heads of your audience, you catch Seokjin’s eyes. They are fiery and it sends a strange sensation up your toes to your abdomen. You give a titillating wave at him in which he does not return.
“He says I’m special and different. How can you say no to that?” you exclaim with exasperation, fully committing to the poor damsel just oh-so in love.
There is a look of genuine concern on the lady’s face at your statement.
Before you can dig yourself a deeper hole, you place your empty glass on the table and excuse yourself. You do not know if it’s the drinking on a relatively empty stomach or if the room is really much warmer due to the multitude of bodies, but you head out to the balcony.
On your way out, you notice that the clock reads twenty minutes past midnight. This gives you a shock at how fast time has passed. Perhaps you should go find Seokjin if you are to get a decent amount of sleep before meeting with Taehyung and Jimin tomorrow. Speaking of Taehyung…
You pull out your phone and see that there are two unread messages. The first is from Jimin, confirming that he is indeed invited to brunch tomorrow morning. The second is a response from Taehyung.
11:09pm “Wow. You have me a little lost for words. I had imagined you’d look nice in the dress but… You really are beautiful.”
Smiling, you type in your response.
12:21am “Thanks, Tae. You’re up late.” You take a picture of the earrings Seokjin had gifted you and attach it to the message. “What do you think of these?”
Barely have you returned your phone into your bag when it buzzes again. This time you receive an attached image. Taehyung seems to be sitting in front of a monitor, as his face glows with a blue light and contorted into a pensive furrow of his brows.
12:21am “A little different from your usual style. Are they new? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear those.”
12:21am “Fei’s out with some friends tonight. She likes when I wait for her to come back before I sleep. To make sure she’s safe, I guess.”
12:22am “Pooey. I should’ve brought you as my plus-one 😩. Also, Seokjin bought them for me for tonight. He says my other earrings are too gaudy.”
12:24am “First name basis 🙃”
12:25am “How is your night going? Having fun?”
You are about give Taehyung a call for a detailed recounting of tonight’s escapades when someone speaks out from within the shadows.
“A penny for your thoughts?” He walks into the moonlight. You flush, meeting the eyes of this particularly dashing gentleman, the phonecall immediately forgotten.
Oh, Alcohol, you make even the smartest of people do dumb shit. And right now, your effects are even worse on this idiot.
Your mouth hangs slightly open as you watch him puff out smoke from his cigar and offer it to you. He brushes up beside you, his fingers trailing up your hand which grips the balcony. You cannot seem to break away from his gaze.
“Lung cancer has an increasing incidence rate particularly for females due to smoking. Are you sure you want to be condoning this type of behaviour?” Seokjin interjects himself between you and your Tuxedo Mask, pushing the outstretched cigar back towards its owner.
There is a small stare down amongst the two men before the latter quietly exits the stage. Your eyes continue to linger on him even as he walks towards another female alone in the night enjoying the outdoor breeze.
“You’ve just ruined by chance. I could have seduced then blackmailed him with the story of his illegitimate child to play Black Widow,” you whine.
Seokjin takes the glass that had somehow magically appeared in your hand during the short walk from inside to outside on the balcony.
“How many have you had since we came?” he asks.
You sigh wistfully, still in your dangerous daydream. “I don’t know. I’ve lost count.” You turn your attention back to him eventually. “What are you doing here? Did you see me with him and get all jealous, hubby?” you tease.
He scoffs, drinking from your glass and pulling a face. Once again, there is that twist and jump within his chest, but he attributes it to whatever nasty concoction he had just ingested. He pours its contents over the railing and into whatever shrubbery lies below. “You seriously went with being my trophy wife?”
You shrug. “Of sorts. You’d better be right about people being too drunk slash not caring about me enough after tonight to remember the things I’ve said. ‘Cuz you’ve been divorced three times, had me along with another as your mistress, I think you’ve sired a few illegitimate children and all in all, a Games of Throne life. Damn, maybe I made you a little too badass.”
“You’re having water for the rest of the night,” he says.
You glare at him, contemplating on making a remark about his equally flushed face but decide against it. Instead, you lean onto the balcony and give a cat stretch. A large sigh escapes from you.
Wordlessly, he shakes off his jacket and places it around your shoulder all the while averting his gaze on the unblemished skin of your upper thighs that had been exposed from your previous movement.
Your blood feels like liquid fire coursing through your veins. Feeling overheated even in the evening breeze, you give him back his jacket. You note his reluctance to meet you even as you throw what could be a thousand dollar jacket in the air to him. “So what’s it like to live like this every day?” you say in wonder. You feel said breeze return and lean over the balcony to catch its chill.
“Like what?” he asks. The warm summer night’s breeze blows through, settling his hair in a childish tousle.
“Like rich,” you say. You sigh again. “Believe it or not, I’m the same age as your birthday boy best friend.
And everything feels absolutely unreal right now. If I hadn’t agreed to come here tonight with you, I’d probably be at another dingy bar knocking back shots with my brother and friend.”
“Are you a secret alcoholic?”
You glare at him. “No,” you state matter-of-factly. “As I was trying to share, this type of lifestyle is something I could ever only imagine. I’m not ungrateful about spending time with them, but at the end of the night I’d go home, sweaty, drunk and gross, and then simply pass out. My bank account might be a couple hundred bucks lighter. Come Monday I’ll be working my ass off just to earn back what I had spent. Then cue the repeating cycle.”
Resting your chin on your palm, your other hand sweeps your hair back behind your ear.
“It’s amazing the difference a few life choices can have.”
Seokjin remains silent beside you. Truthfully, he is at a loss of words. The moonlight plays across your face and caresses your nose down to your lips. You are arching your back once again to pull away the soreness that comes with wearing high heel the entire night. It is just a simple black dress but on you it made you look –
“Well, you’re Mrs. Kim tonight,” he starts.
“Charlotte Dior Laurent,” you correct him.
He raises an eyebrow. “Okay… Ms. Charlotte Dior Laurent. Tonight you get to live like the rich, as you’ve put it. As a rich person, what would you like to do?”
You ponder his question a few moments for the answer. “Hmm…I think I’d like to play golf. It’s a rich person’s sport. I want to play it on a private golf course, wearing cute golfing outfits and talk about million-dollar deals with a client without a care in the world. I want to order sangria by the gallon.”
He laughs out loud. It takes a while for him to be able to speak again, but when he does you feel as if the night has been illuminated a few degrees brighter. “I personally don’t have a private golf course, but Junho does here in his backyard if you’re up for it. I can’t promise cute golfing outfits so you’ll have to do with your wine stained dress. And if you’re really up for it I can pretend to make business deals with you, that’s my job anyways.”
You grin, taking the hand he has offered you. “Call.” The two of you shake upon his suggestion.
As he is leads you by the hand towards the dim gates of said golf course, you tug at him gently. “There’s something missing…” you say.
He shakes his head and pulls you back in towards the party room.
“I’ll see what they have at the bar.”
...
As the hands of the clock continue to spin past another hour, the summer night takes a chilly turn. Seokjin has lent you his jacket but even that cannot stop your fingers from becoming numb. Your hands shake even as they tightly hold the golf club. Seokjin watches you in silence as you prepare to hit the golf ball, a beer in one hand and a few opened bottles littered on the grass beside him. The club hits the ball with a resounding “cling” but does little in propelling it a few centimeters.
“This one doesn’t count,” you announce, “It’s too dark to see anything here.”
Seokjin takes a swig as you readjust your position. You sway in the wind and the last tendrils of your hair come undone in its half up half down hairdo. Your hair now whips wildly around your face when another gust blows through.
“Shit!” you exclaim, missing the ball again. “Why is golfing so hard?!”
You throw your club down and trudge to Seokjin. The six pack the two of you had been sharing has officially been depleted. Seokjin offers you his half empty bottle. This time, you are the one watching as he goes to your spot and effortlessly swings his target into the darkness.
He smirks from the spot.
You grumble. “You’ve had years of practice. Not fair.”
“You’ve got to do better than that, Mrs. Johnson,” he says, teasing you.
Your grumble becomes more audible. You place the now empty bottle on the ground and cross your arms against your chest. Since telling him of your other American alias from tonight, he has not ceased to remind you of your strange choice of name.
“Just so you know, Mrs. Johnson can afford both an affair and the consequential prenup,” you huff.
“It’s still a stupid last name.”
“It’s an American multinational corporation with an income in the billions, okay?”
“Keep telling yourself that if it makes you sleep better at night. Now come on, I’ve got one last ball. Take a swing.”
Groaning, you shuffle over. You wish you had not suggested golf. You had never been good at sports anyways – bad hand-eye coordination.
He stands beside you this time, scrutinizing your every movement with hawk-like eyes. “No, not like that,” he says, “Have a wider stance and bend your knees. Better centre of gravity gives you a better swing. Also hold it with a neutral grip.”
You readjust your positioning following his instructions.
“Index finger down the center. Good. And three knuckles on each hand. No, that’s two. Okay your hands are just weird now. Three. I said three.”
“Stop standing there and show me then, Mr. Know-It-All,” you say, your patience in this makeshift lesson also coming to an end.
He walks closer to you, reaching out for the golf club. He retracts his hands in seeing that you have yet to let go. “You got to – ”
“You can touch me. I did tell you that Mrs. Johnson can afford an affair and prenup. Besides, I’m not going to be able to learn anything if I can’t even see you in this dark.”
He comes behind you and puts a foot between yours to guide your stance. Wrapping his arms around you, he fixes the placement of your hands to grip the shaft of the club in the way he had previously instructed.
Perhaps it is the mixture of wine, champagne and beer offered tonight, but being enveloped in the warmth of this embrace intoxicates you. The tingles that are sent down from his soft breathing on the base of your neck, make you shake like a leaf in the wind.
He inhales the sweet undertones of your perfume. The tendrils of your hair brush against his collarbone, sending a sensual kiss onto his skin. Unconsciously, he draws you closer to him, shielding you from another gust.
“Now you just want to swing,” he says, the words a mixture of a whisper and guttural grunt. His chest rumbles with it, passing the vibration through to your back.
You remain as still as a statue and lean ever so slightly back into him until your entire backside is pressed upon him.
You can’t stop yourself as you ask him, “Do you want to have sex with me?”
...

Bad Dreams
Heck yes 😎 sorry if it is out of character and cruddy. Running into a bit of a writers block, but I’m tryna force it over— maybe.
@boba-filth
Crosshair x reader: “I’m not going to leave you, not now, not ever. You’ll never have to suffer alone again.”
Warnings: brief mentions of family death, touch starved, slightly out of character. Passing out/fainting from being malnourished. Reader is a Slave and TBB save them.
You were born into slavery. It was what made up your life. You never once imagined that you could be free. Live your own life. Make your own decisions. The idea of freedom made you laugh, honestly. It was just such a far stretch and unimaginable. You figured you'd die in the spice mines like the rest of your family did.
You were on lunch break. Eating quickly to avoid getting harassed or beaten by one of the soldiers watching you and the other workers on break. You guys rarely got time to yourselves. When you did, it was barely even a half hour long. So food was often shoved into your system like it was your last meal.
You looked up when you heard the sirens go off. Breath catching in your throat. They only went off for intruders or when there was a group of miners attempting escape. The noise was enough to have you and the others standing and starting your own commotion.
Fights broke out, blasters were fired. You didn't want to be caught in the middle of the fire, so you ran. Your eyes wide and darting around. You had to hide. Sure, life sucked, but you didn't want to die. Not today at least.
"Hey, you there!" A guard shouted, pointing to you. Making you run faster in a panic. You felt tears prick the corner of your eyes when a hand grasped your arm. Pulling you to the side. "Where d'ya think you're goin', wise one?" Another guard asked. Your body trembling as you stared up to him. "I was, I was just, I was getting out of the mess. They were firing-" you rambled. The guard snarling and shoving you. "Can it, fool."
You were sure you'd be shot. Closing your eyes when the one holding your arm raised a blaster to your forehead. "We don't do well with run aways, do we?" "Nope," the other guard answered. "What do ya say we play a-" Bang! Bang!
You inhaled sharply. Squeezing your eyes shut more than they were. Jumping as your fists clenched at the sound of the blaster. The smell of burning flesh and blaster residue filling your nose. "Hey, you alright?" A voice came from in front of you. Eyes parting to see someone in armor, with goggles? You were alarmed, to say the least. They had to be an intruder. But why did they save you..? A nobody?
"You saved me.." you babbled. Blinking in shock as you stared at the other. "Well, you looked like you needed the help, are you alright, though?" You nodded, rubbing your arm where the guard squeezed. You were sure there would be a bruise there. Your skin was so sensitive anymore. "Good," he started walking off, and you felt your body tremble again. "Wait! I know the exits. I can help you, if you get me out of here." You bargained. The man turning back to face you. Sighing, then kicking a blaster from one of the motionless bodies to you. "Alright, but stay close."
You did as told, and kept your piece of the deal. Following who you soon learnt to be named Tech, around the mines. The two of you meeting up with four other men. Who each had bags full of viles of spices. "Who's this?" The one asked, motioning to you with his helmet. "Our escape plan, they claim to know some exits." "The guards don't even know about them. We use them to get out of the mines for our breaks." You added, and the bigger of the men shoved you a bit. Though it wasn't in a forcing way. "Then let's get going!"
The six of you took through the tunnels. Feet grinding against the gravel as you ran. You felt so weak, tired. You wanted to rest, but this was your chance at freedom. Even if you didn't know these men. Life as their servant or whatever they planned on doing with you, would be a hell of a lot better than this life you portrayed.
You pressed your back against the wall when you heard foot steps that weren't your guys. Motioning for them to do the same, and they did. Men running by the tunnel hall heading the other direction. "How much further?" Tech asked, and you pointed to a latter. "There, that latter. It leads up to the surface." You spoke, and they nodded. Motioning for you to head there first, so they could keep watch.
The ground began to shake, parts of the tunnel behind you collapsing. "Hurry!" You shouted. The pain in your chest making your throat clench. Climbing up the latter as quickly as you could. The boys following after you. Making it out just as the tunnels caved in.
You practically threw yourself on the ground as you made it to the top. Everyone doing the same. Each of you panting, adrenaline racing. "So who are you guys?" You asked in between breaths. Standing to your feet a bit shakily. "We're Clone Force 99," one spoke. "We call ourselves the Bad Batch, I'm Hunter, this is Tech, Crosshair, Echo, and Wrecker." You nodded a bit. "Thank you," you murmured. Them all giving you a questioning look under their visors, and you were sure of it by the way Echo and Tech tilted their heads. "For helping free me."
Tech nodded. Approaching you, helping steady you as you swayed. "You can some with us, least we can do for you helping us." You looked to the others, and they all nodded. "Got any family?" You frowned. "No." Everyone was silent at that. "Well, it's settled then, Tech, Echo, help them to the ship. Cross, keep a look out for any guards or clankers. Wrecker, help me carry the cargo." Hunter spoke, causing you to weakly smile. Passing out at some point to the ship.
When you went limp in their arms everyone panicked. Echo and Techs grip tightening on you to help lift your deadweight. "Are they alright?" Wrecker asked, and Echo sighed as the two raced you into the Marauder. "I'd say they're just wore, they look extremely malnourished, I know from experience it's hard to not pass out in that state." Echo informed. Lying you on a bunk, and Tech nodded. "They aren't a clone, either, so I'm shocked they kept standing as long as they did."
You were fine, really, but Tech and the others took turns watching over you while you rested. Water and rations next to the bunk you rested on. It was Crosshairs turn for the night to keep watch. Make sure if you woke up before they got back to Naboo to return the cage that he could explain where you were. Keep you from panicking, or so they hoped.
You were beginning to sweat. Eyebrows creasing, hands balling into fists at your sides while you dreamt. It was hardly a dream, more a reply of your past. Your family. Watching them die before you. Held at gun point. Bags over there heads, blaster shot to their foreheads. Out of your parents and four younger siblings, you were the only one kept alive.. 'This is what happens to slaves who don't listen! '
You jerked up with a startled sob. Hands clenching the sheets. Feet scrambling while you looked around. Chest rising and falling in a quickened pace as your eyes darted around the dimly lit room.
Crosshair looked up from polishing his gun at the commotion. Setting the rifle and cloth aside. "You okay?" He asked, he wasn't too confident on what to ask. Other than that. Watchibg as your head turned to look at him. "Who are you?" You asked with worry. He was about to question you, until he remembered you hadn't seen them without their helmets. "It's crosshair, you saved my brothers and I from the mines." He explained. You calmed slightly at that. Licking your lips, then looking down. "Oh okay," was all you spoke.
You both sat there in silence for a bit. Your hands relaxing. Now resting in your lap as you leant against the wall. Attempting to steady your breathing. "There's some food and water for ya." He motioned to the small table beside you, and your eyes darted to it. You were starving, you didn't get to eat today before the alarms sounded. Raching over to take the rations and water. Dowing them both like you'd never eaten in you life. Which sometimes it felt that way.
Crosshair watched with a small smirk. "Hungry, little one?" You felt a bit self-concious at his words. Only nodding slightly as you took a final sip of the water. Then placing the tray back down next to the bed.
"You have bad dreams often?" He questioned, and you looked down to your hands. Fiddling your thumbs as you nodded shyly. "Sometimes, yeah.." he sighed at that. "I can lay down with you," he joined, causing you to glance over to him. Watching as he stood and approached where you were resting. Taking this time to notice he wasn't in his armor anymore. Only his blacks, which gave you a better image of his body. As the fabric hugged his skin.
Your heart was racing. Squeezing your hands together to keep them from trembling. You hadn't had physical contact in so long, even the offer of it intimidated, but also excited you. "You don't have to," you told him, and he shrugged. "It'll help us both."
You scooted over as he began to climb into the bed. Pulling the covers over the both of you. The two of you sinking down to lay on your backs with small sighs. "You this nice to every new comer you come across?" You asked. Turning onto your side to face him. Cross turning his head to look at you with a small shrug. "Maybe I am," he gruffed. Making you smile a bit. "I doubt it."
Crosshair didn't respond to that. The room falling quiet again. "You get bad dreams too, then?" You blurted, and he exhaled. "Yeah," you nodded a bit. "Do you ever.. Dream about memories? Bad ones?" You asked. Playing with the fabric of the pillow, and he nodded again. "I keep dreaming about my families death." You admitted, and he looked over to you. His expression unreadable, but his eyes screamed worry. "Does it ever stop?" You asked. Voice cracking.
He thought for a moment, then licked his lips. "Somedays." You felt a little better hearing that, you guessed. "Sometimes they're worse." You frowned at that.
He looked over, catching your look of disappointment and displeasure. Turning to his side to reach out for you. It was weird for him, touching someone he barely knew, but you seemed like you needed it, and something about you struck his interest. He saw part of himself in you.
"Hey, I’m not going to leave you, not now, not ever. You’ll never have to suffer alone again.” He reassure. Rubbing small circles into the small of your back. Causing you to stop breathing for a second. Processing what was happening. "But you tell aby of my brothers about this, I'm leaving you in the streets of Naboo." You smiled faintly at that. Unsure if he was serious or not, but you could hear the hint of sarcasm in his voice. You hummed, curling up closer to him. "I won't."

Okay, I know that write-ups of the event have appeared on FB, but I don't spend a lot of time there . . . and I know that pictures from the event have shown up on Twitter, but I haven't had time to really sort through my photos yet.
Thus, I offer my own written account for now. As I noted yesterday, I was one of the lucky folks selected to be in the audience for this livestreaming event:
They mentioned during the event that it will air the same week that The Tipping Point is released; I think they may have mentioned that it will air on Feb. 24th? So for those who couldn't be there last night, take heart; you'll be able to see it soon.
It was fun in that we (the livestreaming audience) were able to see how these sorts of shows get pieced together, as the moderators were stopping occasionally to announce songs, etc. -- when actually all the songs were performed at the end of the event. (In other words, we could tell that the eventual intent is to edit the footage to intersperse the Q&A with the performances.)
What we saw last night was all of the interview / Q&A portion first, followed by a concert. It ran well over the 1 hour time slot advertised, though I imagine they will edit it down to an hour in the end.
My question was not selected; only 5 questions were chosen in the end. More about this later (after the cut tag at the end of this post).
Moving on to the concert portion, there was a snafu in that the moderator announced they would be performing "Break the Man" when actually that had not been planned. They were set to perform 5 songs, but they were very gracious in the moment and agreed to perform 6 songs instead.
The set list was:
No Small Thing
The Tipping Point
Break the Man
Mad World
Everybody Wants to Rule the World
Sowing the Seeds of Love
And I can honestly say they were INCREDIBLE. Their voices have never been stronger; they sounded better last night than in any of the concert footage I've seen from the last 10 years. They are BACK IN FULL FORCE. And they had so much energy; the moment they started performing, it was like they were 20 years younger.
And more than that: they seemed happy. And seemed happy with each other. And -- I don't know how to explain it, but it was really emotional seeing Roland look so healthy and happy and just generally well.
Let's see, what else. Roland played an acoustic guitar for No Small Thing and Break the Man, but didn't play guitar at all during The Tipping Point. He was totally "in it," doing a lot of the same moves and hand motions as in the video. For the final 3 numbers, he was playing an electric guitar (of course).
Curt was astoundingly utterly amazing during Mad World and EWTRTW, especially -- he was . . . young again. Again, I don't have the right words.
No video or audio recording was permitted, but photos were allowed. I have a bunch, but I still need to sort through them to see what is worth sharing here.
Oh yeah, at the last minute we all received an email explaining that at the end of the event, we'd all have the opportunity to turn on our webcams for a "photo" -- that is, they took screenshots of all of us in the "audience" in little boxes on screen with the band (also in their little Zoom box). The event organizers said they would email us the photos in a few days time.
It was all AMAZING except for one thing . . .
So, here's the sad part, behind a cut tag:
During the Q&A, four individuals were able to turn on their cameras and ask their questions directly, but sadly, one of my twitter friends was denied her opportunity. The moderator, without thinking, read her question aloud instead of waiting for her camera and mic to come on. He stopped for a few moments to correct the error -- to let her come up on screen and ask her question -- but she had a momentary blip in her connectivity and instead of waiting just an extra minute, the moderator moved on.
Roland did say hello to her and answer her question -- but she was understandably mortified that her tech didn't work and that the moderator seemed to dismiss her without even thinking about it -- and moreover, she was deeply disappointed that she didn't get to say hello to Roland and Curt and speak to them directly. After all, her question was one of a very small number selected -- she was dressed up and ready to go and then . . . that happened.
I feel horrible for her and I wish I had some contact on the "inside" who could somehow arrange for her to be able to . . . I don't know what, really. Be able to say hi to them, really. She deserves her shot; she earned it.
So I'm just putting this simple wish out into the universe on her behalf. Words have power, even if only a few people see or hear them. You never know.

brand new [nini salazar-roberts]
nini salazar-roberts x reader
requested: i would really like to read something for Marley or for Nini honestly don't have an exact idea yet but maybe for either of them something where the reader ends up helping them get over their ex or something like that
a/n: this is for an awesome supporter of mine @x--mccrew--x , i hope you enjoy and thank you so much for all of the support
*not my gif*
“Soooo...who’re you texting?” you ask.
You and your best friend Nini were lying on your bed. Her head laid on your stomach as you just lied there together in a comfortable silence. But Nini was smiling at her phone constantly texting someone.
She smiled sheepishly, “Ricky. He really makes me happy.”
You couldn’t help, but feel happy for your best friend. Her and Ricky have been pining after each other for as long as she could remember. But you’re happy with how this turned out.
Unfortunately, your happiness turned into despair and anger when Ricky broke up with Nine on their one year anniversary.
She ran to your house in a puddle of tears unsure of who to talk to or where to go. But you accepted her with open arms and a bunch of love.
“I told him I loved him and he left saying we need to take a break.” she sobs into you shirt.
You held her close swaying her from side to side. In a sort of dancing way. You always watched when you were younger as her moms would sway her whenever she was upset. So you did it, in hopes that she would start feeling a little better.
“I’m sorry Nini. Let it all out, okay? It’s gonna be okay.” you whisper softly.
Nini stayed at your house for the rest of the summer. You called her moms to update them and let them know you’re taking care of her the best you can.
Your parents didn’t mind that Nini stayed for as long as she did. They adored her and thought that she was the best kid ever.
You would bring up her dinner and play her favorite movies over and over again until it got embedded in your brain. Just so you can hear that beautiful laugh of hers and see the small smile that grazed over her face.
The first couple of weeks were rough. You could barely get a smile out of her, but the more and more time went by she started to become the Nini you knew and love.
Not that you didn’t love her any less when she was sad. You always loved her for as long as you could remember.
“Thank you for letting me stay here the past month. I know that it was probably annoying taking care of me all the time.” Nini says as she takes a slice of the pizza you guys ordered.
You finished eating the bite you just put in your mouth before shaking your head, “No need to apologize. I don’t mind, I love having you around.”
She smiles sheepishly, “I just don’t want to go to school tomorrow and see him. I don’t think I’m ready for that.”
“Well, I’m gonna be here for you every step of the way.” you say placing your hand on hers.
“You’re too good to me.” she whispers, squeezing your hand back.
The Next Day At School
The two of you found yourself at her locker. You wanted to wait for her so she didn’t have to walk to class alone. Kourtney met up with both of you as you just talked about the past month.
“Feminism is all the rage now a days, we need to stand up for ourselves!” Kourtney says as we start walking to class.
Only to be met with the brown-eyed messy hair boy and his best friend, “Hey Big Red.” I say giving him a high five, “Ricky.” I add on with a stern nod.
“Woah scary Y/N.” Ricky mumbled, scratching the back of his neck.
“Nini, can we talk?” he asks, “Look I’m sorry, can we just start fresh?”
You three girls look at him incredulously, “Start fresh? Ricky I wrote you a song for our one year anniversary! I told you I loved you! And you walked out asking for a break! You wanted a break, right? Well it’s a break up.”
“Nini no!” Ricky exclaims, “We’re perfect for each other and I didn’t mean to just give me a chance to explain.”
Nini was taken aback and she didn’t know what else to say. She was frozen.
“Ricky,” you say stepping towards the brunette, “I think you’ve done enough. You’ve hurt her in more ways than you know. So take a step back and take a breather.”
He scoffed before storming off. Big Red gave an apologetic look before running after him.
“Are you okay?” you ask, rubbing your hands on her arms.
She nods softly, “I’ll be okay. Thank you.”
The rest of the month the two of you found yourselves growing closer and closer. Even though you were best friends when you were younger you got closer in a different way.
With convincing by Nini, you joined the school musical. You just helped out Big Red with the sound and tech stuff, but helping out no doubt. While Ricky stepped in and played Troy.
But all the time you and Nini spent together caused you to have a flutter in your stomach every time you see her. Wanting to kiss her every time she was near you. Or wanting to hold her hand when she hands you a simple piece of paper.
You kept all these feelings down. Nini was still pining after Ricky. And with him playing Troy and her playing Gabriella wit was bound to happen. Or so you thought.
“Kourt? I can’t just tell her! It could ruin everything!” Nini exclaims, dropping down on her dressing room chair.
“Neens...it won’t! Have you seen the way she looks at you? She looks at her like your entire world!” Kourtney tries to convince the brunette.
But that still wasn’t enough for Nini to grow the courage.
It was opening night and the two of you were in the dressing rooms, along with the rest of your new found family.
You stood behind her dressing room chair and squeezed both of her shoulders, “You okay?”
“Yes just a little jitters.” she replies, putting both of her hands on top of yours.
“Well I believe in you. If anyone can go out there and crush this. It’s you.” you respond.
She smiles at you, the two of you looking at each other through her mirror. The glances shared between you spilling all the words that are left unsaid.
“Nini? Can we talk?” Ricky asks, snapping the both of you out of your trance.
Nini clears her throat, “Uh yeah.” she says looking at him, “I’ll see you after the show?”
You nod forcing a smile, “Break a leg.”
The show goes off and finishes, there were a few bumps, but you were all still proud of how it turned out.
Most of the time though you were in more awe of Nini. The way she sang and the way she acted. It was mesmerizing.
Everyone ran backstage after the curtain ended. Adrenaline coursing through everyone’s bodies. You told everyone you ran into a ‘nice job!’, desperately trying to find Nini.
When you finally found her she was down the hall talking to Kourtney, “Nini!” you yelled.
Her eyes lit up and she bolted towards you. You had your arms wide open as she ran into you with full force. She wrapped her legs around your waist as you almost fell back at the impact.
“You were so good Neen!” you yell, squeezing her tightly.
“Thank you!” she says as you finally put her down onto the ground.
Yet your arms were still wrapped around each other. You didn’t realize how close your guys faces were until that very moment. The moment your heart skipped a beat.
The two of you continued to steal glances between each other’s eyes and lips. Neither of you knew what to do.
“JUST KISS ALREADY!!” many voices rang out through the hall.
You looked around to see Big Red, Kourtney, Gina, EJ, Ashlyn, Seb, and Carlos all looking at the two of you in anticipation.
“Well I think we need to give the audience what they want.” you say with a small smile on her face.
She nods, “Yeah I think we should.”
The two of you leaned into each other. The kiss was everything you dreamed of. She was soft and tasted of strawberry chapstick.
You took her chin in between your fingers when you pulled away. The two of you smiling like idiots.

Dating Luke Skywalker Would Include...
Anonymous said: hello, how are you? was wondering if i could get some meeting and dating (young) luke skywalker x reader headcanons please but no pressure! have a nice day :)
AN: Thank you darling, for asking! I’m well, a little tired but well! I hope this meets (and exceeds) your expectations!
Is it cliche to say you meet Luke in the Rebellion?
However cliche it is, your meeting was a perfect whirlwind.
Tensions were running high and the Empire was breathing down your neck.
A move had to be made and, luckily for the Rebellion, the Princess of Alderaan had returned with reinforcements.
Though, at first glance, her saviours were not much to look at.
“They rescued you?”
“It was more of a group effort,” Leia admitted, taking the data pad from your hands. “If it wasn’t for them, I would have been killed. If it weren’t for me, well, so would they.”
As she spoke, you watched the blond, the one you believe you heard Leia call Luke, bounce from pilot to pilot.
He looked as eager as a protocol droid at a linguistic convention.
The noise around you seemed to muddle as you watched Luke chat with the X-Wing crews.
Even with the distance between you two, you could tell that he was cute.
Cute didn’t last long in the Rebellion; you frowned at the thought.
“That one doesn’t bite,” Leia said, breaking you from your thoughts. “The smuggler on the other hand...he’s rough around the edges.”
“Do you think they’ll stay with us?”
When you looked at Leia, waiting for her reply, you saw that her brown eyes held hints of grief in them.
“Luke will. His heart is in this fight, just like the rest of us.”
You cocked a brow at her. “Then why do you look so sad?”
Leia turned her eyes back to the data pad you had given her.
“I could introduce you if you like.”
Your chest tightened at Leia’s suggestion and, despite being many meters away, checked to see if Luke had somehow overheard the Princess.
“I’m not sure that would be-”
“Wise? When we’re on the raging end of war?”
“Exactly.”
Leia sighed and shook her head. “My parents once told me that inaction is the worse path one could take. In politics, in life, in love. Even if it is small, movement forward towards a brighter future is the best choice. Always.”
It was hard to ignore the words of Leia’s deceased, adoptive parents.
You could see that she was hurting, still aching with the loss of her entire world.
Reaching over, you grabbed her hand and gave it a comforting squeeze.
“Then introduce me.”
It seemed that Leia was more than willing to step away from the rush and chaos that the Empire brought to the Rebellion’s door.
Still holding your hand, Leia dragged you over to where Luke was fluttering about.
He was midconversation with Briggs, a skilled X-Wing pilot from Tatoonine, when Leia tapped him on the shoulder.
In a flash of blond hair, you caught your first glance of his shining blue eyes.
Then you saw his smile: lopsided and charming.
In that moment you knew you were completely gone.
What ever the future had in store, what ever battles, wars, and losses, you knew you wanted to be by Luke’s side.
It was like electricity the like of which you never felt before.
“Luke, this is Y/N, my friend and fellow representative of the Rebel Alliance.”
Your face warmed as Luke looked you over.
Did he feel it too?
He must have because his smile widened.
“Hey, I...Hey. I’m Luke.”
He held out his hand to you and, without a second thought, you took it in yours.
“I know.”
“Hah, y-yeah, I guess you do.”
Leia stood between you, glancing at Luke then you, and back again.
She knew what was happening before either you or Luke did.
“Y/N can show you around while we get some work done. Right, Briggs? That engine isn’t going to fix itself before the charge, hmm?”
“No, ma’am,” the pilot replied.
Before Luke could tell him goodbye, Briggs was off; lest he face the wrath of Princess Organa.
“Now, run along. I have work to do,” Leia sauntered away, leaving you and Luke alone.
When you looked back at Luke, you saw that he was already staring at you; waiting for you.
Warmth flooded your face but you pushed past it.
“So, this is the hangar.”
You showed Luke the ins and outs of the Yavin VI base.
With every location or small detail you pointed out, you and Luke spent the next strides talking about yourselves.
“Tatoonine? That’s how you know Briggs?”
“Yeah. When we were younger we’d go to Tashi Station and play pilots. We were free to go anywhere and do anything.”
“Well, you’re not playing anymore, huh?”
“Yeah, I guess not.”
Luke scratched the back of his neck and you suddenly felt as if you had stepped over a line with your words.
“Are you alright?”
“I, uh,” Luke stopped in his tracks and shook his head. “You’re right. This isn’t a game anymore. Piloting it’s...it’s life and death.”
“It’s still free, you just have to fight for it.”
Luke lifted his head then, you meet your gaze.
There was a glint in his eyes that you would not soon forget.
A glint of hope, a new drive to live.
It made your heart swell.
Then the sirens went off and you shoulders dropped.
Luke’s eyes suddenly widened at that sounds, a mixture of fright and excitement in his features.
“Is that…”
“Yes,” you whispered, letting your gaze fall. “Are you flying in?”
“Y-Yeah,” in Luke’s reply you detected a nervousness.
When you looked up to meet his gaze, you see that you glint was gone, replaced by an expression you had seen so many pilots wear before.
Without thinking, you reached and grabbed Luke’s hand with yours.
“You’ll be okay. There’s great things in store for you here, Luke. Just fight.”
“Just fight,” he echoed.
You felt his hand tighten around yours before he ran off to the hangar again to ready his X-Wing.
And fight he did.
He fought, tooth and nail with the rest of the Rebels.
When they returned, you were amongst the first to greet them.
Your eyes scanned over the gathering crowd as techs and pilots alike rejoiced in this victory.
When you finally saw Luke clambering out of his X-Wing, a flood of relief washed over.
You had known he was alive as he was the one that delivered the fatal blow to the Empire’s Death Star but seeing him, in one piece, made your heart soar.
Somehow, moving through the masses of people, you made your way over to him.
A taller man, the one Luke had come to Yavin VI with, embraced him and was soon followed by Leia, who was smiling widely.
For a moment, it felt like you were intruding on the scene.
Like you were seeing something important, something grand, and did not want it to end.
Luke was beaming and you felt silly about how much his smile made your chest ache.
You had only just met him and yet it felt as if some force (or Force) was pulling you to him.
How silly, you thought; how could something do that?
But, just as you began turning away, you felt someone grab your hand.
“Hey! We fought!”
“And we won!”
Luke pulled you close and, for a split second, you thought he was going to kiss you.
But that was crazy! Too soon!
Though, you wouldn’t complain if it happened.
Instead, you were overwhelmed by the warmth of Luke’s arms around your waist, pulling you into a tight embrace.
From that moment on, you strove towards that warmth, towards the joy held in Luke’s arms.
Since that attack on that first Death Star, you and Luke grew closer.
When he returned from missions, you were the first person he sought out to see.
“Y/N!”
“You’re back!”
You would share an embrace that would garner the stares of passersby.
If Leia was around for one of these hugs, you would catch flack about it later.
“That quite the reunion.”
“We hadn’t seen each other in over a cycle it seems!”
“No need to get defensive,” Leia would say with a smile. “It’s just an observation.”
“I know that tone.”
“Then you know what I’m implying.”
Leia and Han bond over teasing your bond with Luke.
Wholesome all around.
About a month before the Rebel Alliance is forced to vacate Yavin VI, you meet Luke in the makeshift cantina on base.
He was just readying to leave for a recon mission to scope out planets for a new base
And despite the excitement of that, you cannot deny how tired he looks.
“Are you alright?”
Luke meets your gaze and there is an unfamiliar coldness in his eyes.
You reach across the table and grab his hand.
“You know you can tell me, right? You can tell me anything.”
There’s a flash of hesitance in his expression but it quickly melts away to reveal the Luke you know best.
“I know, Y/N, it’s just...I’ve been having dreams.”
Luke explains his dreams, his nightmares.
Some are about Ben Kenobi, a man you never met but Luke insists you would have loved as he had.
Others, Luke explains, are about that battle, that final shot into the Death Star.
“Some nights I miss and there’s a different explosion. One of war and pain and...I..”
“Hey,” you squeeze his hand, bringing Luke’s attention back to you. “You didn’t miss. You and those squadrons saved countless lives.”
Luke nods but you can tell he is not easily convinced.
“I see faces in those dreams. People I’ve known and people I don’t. They’re all in pain. I see you, too, and you’re in pain. It’s...awful. I can’t take them anymore.”
“You don’t have to go through them alone.”
As you spoke, you grow courage and entangle your fingers with Luke’s.
At the touch, he breathing evens and you can see the fear flee from his eyes.
“Whenever you have a nightmare like that, you find me, okay? Those dreams are some darkness trying to twist you.”
You squeeze his hand again.
“I’m right here, still alive, and breathing like you.”
“Y/N, I’m in l-”
“Master Luke!”
Before Luke could finish what he was about to say, a familiar, golden protocol droid waddled up to where you were sitting.
“Master Luke! Princess Organa has sent me looking after you all around the base!”
“What does she need, Threepio?”
Even with his slightly annoyed tone, Luke was still holding your hand.
“You were supposed to leave Yavin VI twelve minutes ago!”
Luke’s eyes went wide and you felt his hand tighten around yours.
“She told you, several hours ago, regarding your take off time, that you-”
“I know, I know,” Luke said, shaking his head.
You gave him a fond smile, sympathizing with his flustered expression.
But when he met your gaze, you saw there was something else there, deep in his eyes.
“I thought I had more time.”
“You must leave immediately, Master Luke, to meet at the marker with Fulcrum.”
Luke’s face fell and you squeezed his hand.
“We can talk later. It can wait until you get back.”
“Y/N, I don’t know when I’ll-”
“When you get back.”
You saw a flash of desperation in his eyes and you felt the same in your heart.
The idea of him leaving so quickly, so suddenly, pained you.
But you knew you would see him again; Luke always came back.
He always came back to you.
“I’ll see you then, yeah?”
“Alright.”
Luke moved to slide out of his seat, his hand slipping out of yours in the process.
“Stay safe,” you murmur, as Luke walks past you.
You saw his lips move, utter some tender reply that you could not quite make out as he strode off.
All at once, you were alone, horribly alone.
You glanced down into your empty glass sighed.
At least there were free refills.
As you moved to head towards the bar, you felt someone grab your wrist.
When you looked up, you were met with Luke’s blue eyes watching you, reading you like a data pad.
“I didn’t want to wait for this.”
Before you could ask what he meant, Luke’s hand on your wrist tightened and pull you up, closer to him.
Warmth floods your system and then, it almost becomes a dream.
Luke presses his lips against yours and you feel like you’re floating.
It is all soft and needy and when he pulls away it feels too soon.
Half-lidded and wanting, you hold Luke’s gaze.
“Y/N, I-”
“Master Luke!”
“You gotta go,” you whisper.
Luke nods and turns away, but his hand still lingers on his wrist.
You’re mentally preparing to watch him leave again when he turns around and kisses you again, harder than the last time.
That was the last time you saw him before the Alliance moved to Hoth.
You spent months waiting for him to return.
Worried for cycles, wondering if Luke was really going to come back to you.
When he finally did, you rushed to the icy hangar hungry for the sight of him.
You’re nearly slipping down halls as you basically run to him.
Just as you round the last corner…
Smack!
“Y/N!? Are you alright?”
You don’t even respond.
You’re too caught up in the fact that he is there, at last, in arms reach.
Both of you are on the cold floor but that doesn’t matter.
You grab him by the flight suit (he didn’t even take the time to take it off, he was that eager to see you) and pull his lips to yours.
His hands find the sides of your face and kissed you like a man stranded in the vast empty of space who found a last breath of fresh air.
Neither of you care that you’re siting on the cold ground of the Hoth base
Or that those who pass by are staring, dumbfounded at the mess of a pilot and technician on the floor.
When you finally pull away, you and Luke are beaming at each other.
No words are said; nothing has to be said.
You’re happy enough to be together, at last.
That is perhaps the greatest thing about loving Luke.
Happiness with him comes easy.
Waking after long nights, by his side.
You often wake before him and savor the quiet moment before he stirs.
He looks so peaceful in his sleep; like the weight of the galaxy didn’t rest on his shoulders.
Like he did not wear the moniker of ‘the last jedi’.
Then, silently, Luke will wake and, with eyes still closed, he will pull you to him.
“I can feel when you stare.”
“Is that a Force thing?”
“No, it’s a you thing.”
On mornings like those, it’s hard to get up and moving.
The two of you just lie together you either get hungry or C3P0 comes rushing in to tell Luke that he’s needed somewhere on base.
That is perhaps the ‘worst’ thing about loving Luke.
Everyone else loves him too.
Everyone else needs him too.
So you have to hang on to the moments you get with him.
Those lazy mornings and those dark nights.
There are times when you and Luke feel like a Sun and Moon; always passing each other, busy with your tasks.
But you always find eachother in the end, those stolen moments when you both share the same sky, the same task, the same room.
Those moments are filled with needy kisses and the swapping of stories.
You both make a deal to go to the base’s cantina once a week for a sort of ‘date night’.
Those ‘date nights’ end one of two ways:
One: Someone, whether a droid or ranking officer, interrupts your evening.
Second: you and Luke leave after a few minutes, fearing someone, droid or officer, will interrupt your evening.
If you leave early, you just stay within one of your respective chambers.
To put it lightly, the two of you become, nearly, homebodies.
Life in the Rebellion is so wild and unpredictable that having an escape, the general reliability of your small room, is nice.
Better than nice, amazing.
You two are able to speak freely, deeply, and do other things not suited to the public.
“Do you think they’ll ever…?”
“Han and Leia?”
“No...well..maybe.”
When he gets lost in the snow storm that time, it takes all Leia has to keep you on base while Han searches for him.
“You’re no good to him if you get lost too!”
Tears streamed down your face at the idea of him alone out there, facing the Hoth cold and creatures by himself.
“I love him, Leia!”
“I know! I know,” she holds you close and tries to soothe you.
Yet, you’re only soothed when Han lugs Luke through the doors.
For the next few days, you’re sleeping in the medbay.
When you’re awake, you’re watching droids work on Luke, increasing his chances for survival.
You’re barely sleeping.
It’s impossible to rest with the steady beep of Luke’s heart monitor.
You are studying the bruises on his skin and cuts on his face.
You’re trying to remember what he looked like before: with soft features, eyes open and full of love.
Every so often, his eyelids twitch and your heart leaps with momentary joy.
When the steady beep continues on, you fall back against your chair.
You glance at his lips and wonder if you’ll ever kiss them again.
You see the corner of his lips twitch, but you know better than to get your hopes up.
Then, the corner of his lips lifts entirely into a small, tired half smile.
“It’s a you thing.”
“Luke!”
You’re over at his side immediately, clutching his hand and pressing your lips to his cheek.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N, I’m so-”
“Shh, no. I let you go out alone this was…”
“Don’t,” Luke warns.
His hand grabs yours and squeezes weakly.
“I’m right here, still alive, and breathing like you.”
You can’t help but laugh lightly at his words, an echo of yours from many months before.
“Barely,” you reply, before leaning down to kiss him like the first time.
You spend time with him, getting Luke back on his feet.
He tells you about how he heard Ben’s voice, how he needs to leave.
“I feel like I just got you back.”
“I know, but I….”
“You need to do this,” you say softly.
“Yeah, I do. I don’t know how long it will take but I love you, I’ll be back.”
You smile when Luke’s eyes widen.
“I-I….”
“You love me?”
“Yes, I...I love you, Y/N.”
“I love you too.”
You spend as much time with him as you can before he leaves.
“Be safe out there.”
“Always. I have to come back to you, don’t I?”
“Have to?”
“Want to. Need to.”
Even though he is many hyper jumps away, you can feel that he is alive.
You almost think it’s the Force before you know that this feeling is deeper.
It is real love.
It is something even stronger than the Force.
Something stronger than you or Luke by yourselves.
You’re strongest when you’re together and, when you are together, it feels that everything is in balance.
So you stay together through it all.
The Empire’s fall, the New Republic.
You hold his hand and he holds yours, for as long as you both can.
